Asklepios
Phil, That is fine. Keep up the good work. I assume the exact spec is not required, you are merely getting a feel for demand just now.
Ferrino
I'd be up for some Samco hoses if we can order specific sections as well as kits. Black if poss! Lobbying Caterham for a new badge....
Wahey
I am sure the Scoobynet gang would love some cheap Samco hoses too if you still need more people to buy.
Steve Cragg
Phil, Where did you get to with this. Is it dead? If not can you give some indication of timescale so that people can make other arrangements if necessary. Cheers Steve Superlight #
frankyknuckles
I've just received my SAMCO kit for a dry sump K series 7. I would advise that the hose that goes from the water pump, round the back of the engine to the water rail is not long enough (16mm internal bore I think), you will need an extra 1m length of the same internal bore to complete this run of hose. Also, the 8mm length that comes in the kit for the header tank to inlet manifold head is also not long enough and again, you will need an extra 1m length of 8mm internal bore hose. You also get a multi angles piece os hose that has no use 😬 1m lenghts are the shortest you can order. The shortage of hoses in the kit is a pain, especially as there is an 8 week wait for the hoses. frankyknuckles
this thread has pictures of the kit that was delivered. www.R300.net
frankyknuckles
the observation above about the '8mm header tank to inlet manifold hose' is only true for the new round header tank. (you are OK if you have the old 'pastie' style header tank) www.R300.net
Wahey
I lost this thread for weeks so thought it had died! If you get anywhere could you please e-mil me as I can't guarantee I will find this again. Cheers
Asklepios
I think Franky got his pipes twisted. He meant to contribute to the other silicone hose thread. This one seems dodo like.
frankyknuckles
no mate, I only posted to point out that if people are buying dry sump K samco kits, they need to be aware of what the kit includes becuase the lead time on these kits is HUGE 😬 www.R300.net
Asklepios
OK Franky, thanks for the info. Your posting still seems a bit premature ,as the originatior of the post has gone very quiet. At this rate the 8 week you waited pales into insignif. ,compared to the infinite wait to get bulk buy going! Still thanks for the info.
