Mine has a side exit competition which is v.noisy and ocassionally pops flames . PS thanks everyone for replying to my previous questions, I now know how to check the oil in my dry sump, the switch does switch the guage between coolant and oil temp and it would appear that I need to change my alternator. Big Brother Posted October 16, 2002 Share Posted October 16, 2002 Strongy Supersprints with side exit comp exhausts sound great don't they 😬 😬 😬 The flames are there because the exhaust collector has a built in air leak. (it can be sealed with HT silicon sealer - but I like the flames myself 😬) As for volume - the post above got it spot on ❗ Only downside is when you decide to do a trackday you will need to quiten it down a little. Also ... earplugs are highly recomended for long blats. (that ringing noise you hear after a blat means you have just damaged your hearing a bit more ☹️) Try looking here and here for more info....I asked the same question a while back. Steve Se7en-Up!
