  1. Go on HOOPY keep shouting about getting them cheaper direct and you will stop it for everyone. Really use some common sense.
  2. Tony, if your using DTHTB`s then no need to reshape the diagonal. Simply fit QED 19mm spacers onto the end of the Tb`s then 90mm bellmouths then mount the filter back plate onto the end of the bellmounts an ITG sausage filter of overall depth 100mm fits perfectly within the bonnet or you can cut the bonnet and fit a larger protruding filter and get some cool air but its noisy. Dents

Try a teaspoon and a small piece of polished S Steel. Its easy to force out the dent using the spoon on the inside and holding the flat steel on the outside or concaved /dinged panel, work from the edges first and keep any painted surface clean to avoid damage.
  11. You have backed off the locking nut I trust ??????????/

  17. If what your selling is the Vinyl covered transmission tunnel top with the provision for the handbrake then I will have that off you. My phone number is 0117 9239941 or give me your number to discus the details. Cheers Rob
  18. I have had the misfortune of changing two slave cylinders on my friends VX this year. I think its quite important to use some high spec fluid as the cylinder gets very hot being integral with the belltank and close to the gear box input shaft. I used Castrol SRF last time and this seems to be lasting but will try Silicon Fluid next time as this does seem to have some lubriction properties which could help the seals last a little longer. Undoubtedly it helps not to leave the car without use for a long time as this allows the seals to stick in the bore so a couple of presses on the peddle each time your in the garage will help. IMHO its a crap installation and prone to early failure sorry.
  19. I am still looking for a standard SLR side exhaust can. I am not bothered about condition ie the odd dinge or the can needs repacking. Can anyone help??? Cheers Rob

  23. Nig, Did you replace the inlet valve guides when you had the head ported ? If not there could be as little as 19mm of the original 32mm length remaining. Should be no need to replace your pistons to make them fully floating, its the end of the rod that needs bushing or replace the rods. The pistons should have circlip grooves machined in on the SLR.
  24. Nig, The answer is YES no problem. Slackening the bolts holding the cam ladder is a very bad idea as the the cam carrier sealant is designed to harden in the areas out of contact with air ie., between the mating surfaces( thats why there is only a small amount of the stuff in the bottle when you buy it). So disturbing the mating surfaces is asking for trouble and not necessary. Rob.
