  1. Remove the sleeve and cut off the excess after the internal seal. This support sleeve is only needed for the cable clutch but you still need to retain the oil seal.
  2. I think only the very early VHPD`s had a tufftrided cranks.
  3. Try Dave Jackson he replaced all his original hoses.
  4. Mark, Yes had a bad day, unpacked the painted fibre glass for the Seven that I am building and every panel is damaged and will have to be returned then tried to fit the new polished exhaust system and that did not fit. Now struggling with the cage. Trouble is I am loosing enthusiasm for my own car and thats no good. Hopefully things will go better today. Rob
  5. Oxted trimming will make one for you if you get the pattern details off Caterham. tel 01883712112. Make sure its for the standard roll bar the FIA is not a good fit
  6. if you copper slip the bolts when you assemble you won`t have a problem removing them in the future. Plastic bolts stretch and break IME.
  7. I am getting fed up with repeating this the boot cover from the 1997 onwards , superlight that came supplied without weather gear and had the STANDARD not FIA bar is a good fit
  8. Carbon is no good, Cut up an old stainless steel wing protector and bond it to the center section of the sump pan with silicon.
  9. Will, It is 125 internally 150 externally I had it made to order so that I could run with 90 mm trumpets. Yes you need the oil dirt retention spray. Steve still has the first refusal on the filter, I will let you know if he doesn`t want it. Steve, its is 436long 148 wide and 150 high all external dimensions Rob
  10. At least the fixings have been kept outside the box, this is one good improvement over the old one. The mounting looks a copy of the pipercross mount which is proven.
  11. Yep I have known two leak from new both were porous and leaked from the bellhousing to gearbox drillings. A Company in Reading called Ultra seal sorted the problem out for £30.
  12. Dobuy, The last engine Dave Walker mapped for me the AFR was kept close to 13.5 . I would say that 12.5 is too rich.
  13. Aves do you want the filter? I have not received any mail from you.
  14. still for sale due to the above time waster.
  15. The caterham uprated disc`s are made by Alcon and are very good quality and last well. As a cheaper solution to your problem why not fit some better front pads ( Pagid )and possibly a bias valve in the rear circuit. Speak to John Freeth at performance breaking he will advise.
  16. Dobuy. The injectors you have bought are not 310cc/m they are in fact 310g/m at 3.8 bar. I did some reseach on these last week with Bosch technical. In cc/m they are 465cc/m @3.8bar that works out at 405cc/m@3 bar. These are the injectors used in the CSR 260. Rob
  17. Nic no back plate, can be bought separate or i can give you a paper template to make your own in ali. John its the flat faced type.
  18. The mapping on the car I built was for 8 injectors the stock grey in the head and 330 picos in the TB`s batch fired not sequential. What injectors did you fit in the end ? Rob
  19. JC50 airfilter, with internal depth of 125mm. Suitable for K VX XF Duratec running twin 40, 42, 45, 48 TBS or carbs. Filter in perfect condition had very little use. £40. Rob
  20. Cars are now tested on the rollers irrespective of if they have a ZF diff. New instructions have been issued to SVA and Mot stations telling them to test as no damage will occur to the diff. I of course protested but had to allow the test or go home without the certificate. The only chance you have now is set your exhaust box very low so that it will foul the floor when on the rollers, they have no answer for this YET. 😬
  21. One set of 4 front brake pads to fit standard Caterham front calipers. New still sealed in Caterham bag , Only £18. Rob
  22. Stuck air idle control valve. remove it strip and clean the carbon/debris build up of the plunger valve. Lub with WD40.
