  1. If I am sitting in the back of some ones car I am lucky if I can put the seat belt on with two hands and some help from the missus these days. The harness is a breeze by comparison Edited by - tbird on 2 Apr 2010 22:39:42

  7. Just in case anyone is hovering, I bought Myles' 5D a couple of months back to upgrade my 30D, this camera is a huge step up in quality for not much money, it still rates as one of Canons best, I was surprised how much better it was against a 1.6 crop sensor camera you will see the difference Tim
  8. !"£$%^&* bu66er should have looked first thing 3rd dibs just in case some really strange unforseen circumstance happens to others 😬
  9. best of luck, hope its not one of those jobs where there is much sucking of teeth and then the announcement that "once they have the rack out it will be easy peasy from there on in" 😬
  10. wonder if one ore more of ball bearings just stuck down. maybe a sharp tap with a piece of wood while release collar pulled may help, , just had a look at mine, ball bearings not sprung in either direction, and are close to open end of fitment IYSWIM mayme a squirt of WD40 up into collar would help, Tim

well it aint brains (most of the time anyway) 😬 I'd like to say Thunderbird 1, sleek fast and able to cruise long distances, fast, however ☹️ if being truthful, probably more akin to Thunderbird 2, body slightly wider than it should be, cruises well, if not the fastest, but pretty good staying power, usually getting there in the end 😬 Edited by - tbird on 3 Feb 2010 20:41:35
  12. These are what I use here, except I scrounged a box from local Land Rover specialist. pretty tough, plenty of feel, Nitrile so non allergenic tough enough for working on Landys delicate enough for proctology if that is your wish 😬

Paul, sadly probably wont see you there as trip April May, for same reason will be keeping a lot lower than Stelvio ☹️ 😬 Chris swivelling may be option but may not satisfy BiB or green or grey depending on country 😬 as I said I worry Ian, gaffer is a good possibility, usually have plenty around for stage work, could be fun to remove after being baked in Greece for a couple of weeks 😬 guess carry a roll and replace every few days cheers Guys

BtB cheers, will be trying to avoid France, going Holland, Germany, Austria, italy, Greece, but will be carrying Hi Vis just in case, I think its req. in Italy anyway, plus first aid kit and Triangle, Paul fair point and you are probably corect I dont plan to drive at night, but I worry if things not correct, plus it would be just my luck to pick up a fine for dodgy lights, maybe will try the deflectors for ease and cheapness cheers Tim Edited by - tbird on 28 Jan 2010 11:20:21
