  2. I have been successful in the past by holding maglite by head and rapidly swinging torch downward IYSWIM, please do this somewhere with no people and a lot of space if the batteries come out they come out at some speed and can do serious damage to almost anything they hit (especialy windows), Tim CSR 200 Aztec and Black

  5. Paul Hi, I am sure you would have mentioned it if not, but are all the chassis members/ diff mountings solid or even better Galv. Oh and has it any service history cheers Tim CSR 200 Aztec and Black Edited by - tbird on 7 Dec 2010 22:44:28

  7. obviously doesnt realise a mattress will fit in the back and way more headroom than in back of my old imp van (all for camping purposes obviously) Hmm just realised "camping" may not have been the best choice of words Tim CSR 200 Aztec and Black Edited by - tbird on 7 Dec 2010 18:01:06
  8. as above, not on the CSR but on the Quattro which also kills the battery in about 2 weeks, I have one of these and at least on the Caterham you dont have the central locking to work around. Works really well and is quick and simple to fit, just don't fit the bypass wire and fuse or battery will still go flat 😬 Tim CSR 200 Aztec and Black
  9. aggree with above, on CSR I have the CC disconnect switch and never had an imobiliser issue, always allow it to set then remove switch. If not needing to comply with FIA regs and not going to use switch to stop engine, therefore needing to protect alternator, I think This is a good cheap quick and dirty solution. I have recently fitted one to the Quattro as it will also flatten battery in about 14 days. even better on Caterham as no central locking to have to faff with . Obviously dont fit the fused bypass wire 😬 Tim CSR 200 Aztec and Black Edited by - tbird on 3 Dec 2010 11:12:23

  21. I Should know the answer to this but confidence low this morning can an electrikery wiz just confirm that the below is basicaly correct, just want to calculate approx input current for 240v to 12v transformer for 12v 7amp continuous load P=EI so 12Vdc at 7A = 84W P/E =I so 84w / 220vac = .382A so input current will be iro 382mA plus a bit for ineficiency, heat and rectification TIA cheers Tim CSR 200 Aztec and Black
  22. could once again be in sucking eggs territory but it is based on my own stupidity, has it got a little choke lever on Carb that you have forgotten about, has it got a "tickler" a little button/lever to prime carb with petrol, has it got an ignition cut out that earths the plug lead Tim CSR 200 Aztec and Black
