  1. Not sure if you have measured this, with bulb fitted and power off, do you get continuity from both sides of bulb to earth, either block or battery if poss, obviously earth side should be <1ohm tother side should be around 3ohm on a cold bulb iirc Tim
  2. Cheers Rick, not sure getting it out the bottom is an option on a CSR but will, A) look, and B) identify and protect diff breather :-). Think I had same experience with boot floor, spend ages jiggling the honeycomb around, no luck, held floor in one hand to reach for coffee withother and it sort of slid past roll bar, still no idea how 😔 Tim
  3. Ah no doubt it will become obvious when I whip the pump out, cheers Ian Tim
  4. would that not be isolated from tank by Gasket, I am about to do likewise so interested in answer, although if tank hasn't got a lug guess it would have to rely on retaining bracket to bond it to chassis, which I suspect would be a poor connection at best, By the way Rick what type of roll bar have you got and did you sneak tank out with it in place or did you have to remove it Tim Edited by - tbird on 4 Apr 2014 17:13:15

  6. No Adhesive, got nice stainless Mikalor from http://www.advancedfluidsolutions.co.uk, you will need to measure your can it will be different from mine Tim Edited by - tbird on 31 Mar 2014 18:06:37
  7. Intermittent drains are not only very unusual but will be a real bugger to find, so 500mA at 12v you are looking at something using around 5 or 6 watts of power exactly what a bulb would use, Boot light maybe, under bonnet light, has he got a big PA fitted, maybe not shutting down properly, powered sub don't know just chucking some ideas in the pot, but its going to be fun :-) Sorry Ian just noticed you suggested same Tim Edited by - tbird on 29 Mar 2014 14:44:02
  8. various Honda forums suggest the fuse marked "Backup" is for radio / head unit, and clock, there do seem to be a few similar problems around,, he hasn't just fitted a new stereo system by any chance, Tim
  9. 50mA is negligible that would take well over a month to drain a 50Ah battery, if it was 50 mA it should not have gone off the scale on the 250mA range doesn't make sense, can you borrow a decent Multimeter ?, to drain a 50Ah battery in 3 days would be closer to 700mA but to flatten it enough not to start Maybe 500mA which would fit with what you said re going off 250mA scale, are you sure its reading 50mA not 500mA. 10. came accross this no idea if genuine or virus free but it may help http://www.chinaautodiag.com/html/jlr-mongoose-for-jaguar-and-land-rover-software-free-download-281.html, its a chinese auto site, the landing page seems OK but the zip file you will need to check Tim

  12. afraid I don't have mail, can you try tjbird@gmail.com, Tim
  13. have you got another good battery, if so and you find the jump leads, wack it in parallel with flat battery and then put charger on as well, that also can kick a dead battery back to life , sorry Roger just noticed you suggested similar Tim Edited by - tbird on 22 Feb 2014 21:25:25

  19. Quoting 7TOM: Hi I suspect the damage would not render the whole screen inoperative.Continuity is not the best check as it would come up ok if only one element was working check the live and earth when circuit is under load ( screen on) you should have battery voltage one side and less than 0.3 volts on the earth side. and you will have whether heat elements are OC or not, its unlikely the chip will have damaged any elements but at worst it would only be 2 of them so the rest would work, certainly check for continuity, if you have continuity ( some low resistance probably less thn 5 ohms) if OK, check voltage on both screeen contacts, should be 12v and zero, no 12 v = problem with feed, 12v on both sides = problem with earth, 12v on one side and 0v on other side = you lying to us and its working 😬 Tim
  20. Still a very competent camera as well , OK only 4M but will produce perfectly fine quality images up to A4 and I have seen some stunning images at A3 produced on one . And if anyone wants to gaffa two together and do stereo, I,ve got one you could have as well 😬 Tim Edited by - tbird on 14 Jan 2014 14:23:13
