  1. They look like the 'caravan towing' mirrors fitted to EU export cars along with the extra rear silencer to suit EU regs.
  2. If your hose was fitted in 2008, it may have hardened considerably by now. See if you can bend it. Often removing a curved hose and trying to straighten it reveals just how hard and fragile it has become !
  3. You want at least hose marked SAEJ30R9
  4. I just asked CBS to chase their supplier again. These mirrors really are the business.
  5. Those Spa mirrors are hopeless. I have been using Large long arm carbon effect convex mirrors from Car Builder Solutions for years. Unfortunately they have been unable to source them for a few years, but hopeful they will return. Solid mounting. Adjustable angle arm. Proper friction ball head 👍 photos follow. I believe they are also used on some motorbikes
  6. Road use only. Original springs way softer and original Bilstein dampers too hard. Present setup much nicer. Smooths out bumps and keeps the sump off the ground in high speed dips.
  7. On my SV, went for 300lb fronts and linear 185lb rears. Works a treat with the Protech series 400 dampers
  8. You might let one spanner lock against the wishbone while you use all your might on the other ?
  9. Leverage is your friend. Long handles make a huge difference.
  10. PlusGas. Bit of heat from an electric hot air gun too.
  11. It can take a fair bit of force to crack then apart. Put a bit of tube on handle of spanners to get extra leverage. Wear thick gloves and mind your knuckles !!
  12. You need to crack the two rings apart first. They are intentionally locked against each other. If they have holes around the collars, you can use stubby crosshead screwdrivers as handles. If they have notches you need a suitable pair of c-spanners. Once separated, lift the car so that wheel is off the ground ... it makes adjustment so much easier
  13. Decent convex side mirrors on long sturdy arms fitted to stanchions give good rear view.
  14. Try working the hazard switch hard a few times, assuming it's an old style rocker switch.
