  1. I've had some strange results with the Google search in the past but just put it down to a glitch. It normally works fine though.
  2. I've just added Google site search to the red menu bar at the top of the screen.
  3. Hi Ian - yes the quotes are important. They make the search look for the exact phrase inside the quotes. This does of course mean you have to remember the exact phrase which is usually my problem
  4. I searched for "Low Flying Spring" and it was the second of two posts returned, the first being this thread. The terms you used in your search are fairly common hence the huge list of returned posts. I used google to do the same search and it returned over 100 threads so you can't just blame the site search for this one
  5. So iFrames works but it's not available to members. I tried just adding an image (the old image button) and pasting the google docs URL but it doesn't work. Back to the drawing board.
  6. I gave up because I actually can't see anything. But this is on a work PC connecting to the Internet via a proxy in Paris so who knows what it's done!! There was an option in google drive to get a link to embed the image but it uses iframes and most users of the site won't be able to add an iframe because we limit the html available to them. I'll have a play around on my personal computer when I get a minute.
  7. My fastest time of the weekend was T1 on Saturday: I managed to make contact with one of chicane barriers on T2 leaving me with a bit more toe out than normal (bent steering tie rod lever) but it drove well enough to compete on the Sunday. The weather wasn't quite so kind so times were slower but here's my T2:
  8. Some great shots there Dave. Nice to have some pics of the car competing on a public road :-)
  9. Rog - you can laugh but I did get stuck on the ring road once in very thick fog, unable to see the exit I needed. Think I did 2 laps before I found it
  10. We’ve booked in at Wolvey for Friday night. Will camp on the ring road on Saturday.
  11. Here you go: Sadly I couldn't get anywhere near Simon's class winning time

    Curborough Video

Hi Richard - I suspect that's due to the "hypersmooth" image stabilisation which crops the image slightly and then removes any camera shake. I guess that as the car goes through the corner the crop moves in that direction to compensate. The camera is a Hero 7 Black and I shot the video in 2.7k at 50fps with the hypersmooth on. This absolutely mullered the battery life so I'm going to drop to 1080p in future and maybe try the standard stabilisation. Shaun
  13. The underpass in our camper on Saturday night - no idea about Friday yet but will try and find a campsite not too far away.
  14. I had 2 failures on my K and eventually switched to a P&G Hall effect one which has been on the car ever since through sprints/hiilclimbs, circuit racing and track days. You should really re-map the car as, although the throttle pot range can be reset, you don't know what the behaviour is in between full open and full closed - the "curve" may be different to the original TPS.

    Curborough Video

Here's my somewhat off the pace final run from Sunday. Pleased with the quality of the Go Pro image but realise I need to remove the rear view mirror. Built in GPS means it was easy to add the speedometer, G-meter and position. Have yet to try syncing the video with the data from the Dash 2 but will give it a go later in the week.
  16. There were some fixes to another issue going on earlier today so maybe that was causing the problem.
  17. The capless holder from Halfords has done the trick. It wedges in better than the old Lucas one and has the advantage that it shouldn't corrode like the old one. It requires a Junior Power Timer connector (which is a bit OTT) but I used two slim spade connectors instead and that has worked well. The ones from Polevolt would have been an easier swap as they have 6.3 mm spade connectors but they take the standard bayonet bulbs which would still have potential corrosion issues. Thanks to everyone who offered spares but I'm happy with the solution and it will get me through the MOT.

  19. That ebay one is the one but I've made the decision to convert now - might be a bit more robust solution as well. Both bulb holders were badly corroded and the bulbs loose in them which is porbably why they failed.
  20. Thanks for looking everyone. It seems the bayonet fitting bulb holders with spade connectors are hardly used these days. I popped down to Halfords and found some bulb holders that take the newer capless bulbs so I'll convert to those. Thanks for the offers Stephen and Paul but the cost of postage is more than the value of the parts (to the point where I couldn't get to Polevolt's minimum order value!!). Cheers, Shaun
  21. The sidelights on my 7 stopped working and on investigation, I've found the bulb holders severely corroded and one bulb blown. I thought this would be an easy replacement but it's not obvious what size the bulb holders are and Caterham don't sell them nor do SVC (who supplied the headlights). Polevolt have something that looks about right but is a different design. So what is the bulb holder size and where canI get one from? I think it's a BA9S. The bulb is marked 12V 4W so that should be easy enough to source but I need to make sure I get the correct size - it's about 9mm diameter which would tie up with the BA9S fitting.
  22. The editor for the version of Drupal we use just doesn't support Android very well. That wasn't know at the time of selection. We have stayed on that version for Drupal for stability reasons as recommended by our partner. I guess we are getting close to the time when we should upgrade.
  23. Maybe I've just forgotten about it It's one of those things we would normally batch up with a bunch of other minor requests but life has got in the way recently and I haven't done it. Will try and remember for the next batch. Shaun
