Chris - you will be very close to the wingstay with your proposal for the front but it should work. If too close it can easily be solved I suspect by bending the stay. Let us know how you get on as it is certainly a cheaper option than MB or Image.

I was considering using Compomotive CXRs but couldn't seem to find the right offset. The fronts were the main problem. In the end I gave up and bought some Image 3 piece wheels. I just asked Image to build them with the same backdepth as the Caterham wheels (i.e. they just stick out further). If you blatmail me, I'll send you a copy of the order form. I have 7.5" front and 8.5" rear.
You could call Compomotive and see if they can match the Caterham backdepth in 7" or 8" wheels. I think Paul Forster is running CXRs but he has flared wings so won't have the clearance issues with cycle wingstays.

It is fine to wash Nomex as well as dry cleaning - I've just double checked the instructions on the DuPont website. Instructions here.

My money would be on the coil. I've got through at least 4 of them in the last 7 years so this year I switched to wasted spark ignition using a GM coil pack.

My 1st run here.
It really was quite slippery for the second!

Please send me something to get started with. If it all arrives in October/November I won't have time to compile it before the awards bash.

Video of my timed runs is here. On the 1st run my line coming out of Farmhouse required a slight lift...

I guess that £2800 includes Jenvey throttle bodies and an Emerald ECU. Both of these are resusable should you wish to go for even more power at a later date.

Most of us can't even meet the regs for class 4 or 5 as they require a windscreen and list 1A tyres!

The Blue book says:
75. When operated, the circuit breaker must isolate all electrical circuits with the exception of those that operate fire extinguishers.
Seems pretty clear.
However a cut off switch is not required for sprints/hillclimbs if your car is roadgoing so no need to worry about it.
Edited to say that external cutoff is not mandatory for road going cars.

Autoglass refused to let me fit the replacement - something about them not being able to guarantee it! Daft really as I take the screen off for every sprint. Other than that they have been excelllent both times I've had to claim.

Brian James Minnow Max Trailer - with rare folding tow pole.

Do you have a picture of it in your garage? I need an idea of whether this would realistically fit in my garage (which doubles as a utility room, bike storage, etc.). Do you know how long it is with the tow pole folded?
