  1. Looking good - Class 5 Loton should be me this year - the time is correct though :-)
  2. I see the problem - I had asked for pagers to be added to the bottom of the page but they are missing. While we get that fixed, please search for battery (or batteries) and then filter by "Member special offer". The search works across all content types on the site so is a very useful tool. Regards, Shaun
  3. Welcome to the new website. It has been a long time in development but finally it's here and we hope you like it. There are bound to be a few glitches so please bear with us and we are adding more content all the time. Rich, dynamic content will be what makes this website, so we are always looking for contributions, news snippets, pictures, youtube links and of course events to publish. All management team members and all area representatives will have the ability to add content so please make sure you submit stuff to them. You can of course post in the forums or even create your own blog entries. All current club members will have received an email with instructions on how to register but if you haven't then please contact the membership secretary.
  4. Hi John - I'm more than happy for you to follow up with them. You could contact chairman Martin Bushaway as he has contact with Caterham and may be able to get approval. I would like something in writing to say we can use the documents and then just send me the docs with some background and I'll publish them. I'm pretty sure there is a WiKi module in Drupal so once we've got the basics up and running we can look at that.
  5. For now I am the "technical information coordinator" for the new website 😬 I can add stuff like this to the "Guides" section of the new website which has lots of technical info on it. We will authorise some additional "technical authors" over time and I am keen to add WiKi functionality as soon as we can (a bit busy atm with getting the site live ). If Caterham are happy for us to publish these then I will.
  6. We haven't received our finals so no tickets available yet. The Anglesey Circuit website says £5/day. I think we'll be camping so also arriving Friday evening - not normally an issue. Details here.
  7. Hi Pat - you'll need the "correct" sender. There will certainly be a cheaper alternative but the std Caterham (non-Stack) sender might not work. You'll need to check the specs of both. I'm sure someone has found a suitable alternative but I still have the original Stack one so can't help.
  8. On my P2 I was a bit enthusiastic with applying the power out of Sawbench - .

    Anglesey Class

Is there specific class for L7C @ Anglesey or are we class 2?

    Loton video

Enjoy Llandow - it's a challenging little circuit to get right. It's also very grippy in the dry so a dry sump is a good idea. If you've not been there before then a little taster 😬
  11. On our way to Loton Park - sorry we didn't see you. Here's a belated virtual wave:
  12. No rolling road result is required but if there is some evidence that a car may not meet the regs for the class it is entered in then the club can request and pay for a rolling road power run (or the comp sec can simply move the car to a differenct class at his discretion). We've never had to do this and rely on competitors honesty. We have a pretty good understanding of what power a car makes based on it's specification. The speed a car achieves through the speed trap at certain events is also a good indicator.

    Clutch

New uprated clutch fitted and engine now back in its rightful place Still need to road test it but should be at Loton (fingers crossed). Radiator 'O' ring appears to be OK but have some spares on order! A big thank you to Dave Gemzoe for helping me with the refit. BTW Gill can read you know 😬

    Clutch

So this is what my clutch plate looks like! New plate and cover hopefully arriving tomorrow - fingers crossed I will have it all back together for Loton.
  15. Definitely NOT stainless. High tensile steel bolts should be used: 8.8, 10.9 or 12.9. I'm pretty sure that all the rollcage fasteners on my car are 8.8. I always used to use Apex Fasteners in Slough when I lived there - they don't have a website but you can call them. Namrick have both Hex and Cap head in 7/16" x 1.5 inch http://www.namrick.co.uk/acatalog/U.N.F._Socket_Cap_Screws.html http://www.namrick.co.uk/acatalog/Home_U_N_F__HT_Hex_Head_Bolts_18.html

  17. Bolts are High Tensile steel capheads and I recommend plenty of loctite. They do tend to vibrate free regularly, especially on high revving engines. The manual says tighten to 25lbft.
