  1. For the single diagonal bar, there was a 2 piece support - half of it is this: https://caterhamparts.co.uk/headrests/3521-steady-bracket-headrest-assembly-fia-de-dion.html?search_query=head+rest&results=13 and the other part had the plate on it a well as a similar "U" clamp but Caterham don't seem to list that anymore. You'll have to put a wanted request out to see if anyone has one kicking around. I'll have a look and see if I've still got mine from years ago.
  2. If you have the roll-bar with a double cross-brace, there should be 2 holes - one in each brace, just behind the headrest. A bracket is attached with bolts to those 2 holes and then the long threaded bar of the support goes through the bracket secured by a nut either side. Sorry, I can't find a decent picture to show it.
  3. Something like this: https://caterhamparts.co.uk/other/5471-head-restraint-to-metric-cages.html?search_query=head&results=185 That one's for metric FIA bar/cage.
  4. There is one thing to check with any very early boxes and that is that they have a Ford splined input shaft and not a Rover one. Some early boxes used the Rover spline pattern mated to a Rover clutch. These were all supposed to be recalled and replaced but some may have missed the recall. Guess how I know this!
  5. Hi Rob - Gill and I would both like to do the tour. Shaun
  6. As advertised in October's Lowflying, L7C cufflinks and Lowflying binders are now available for pre-order on-line through the website. 60th Anniversary commemorative glasses are also available but via our merchandise provider Purple Promotions. Please note that items will be shipped mid-December in time for Christmas. Cufflinks Binders 60th Glasses
  7. Several wiring diagrams are available in the Guides section here: /guides/technical-information/wiring-diagrams-k-series-cars Although not specific to your car, they don't change much from model to model.
  8. Good point Nigel. Super soft tyres will get wrecked and what about the people on hill climb slicks? The contact issue is also critical. If you crash on a sprint then that's your own lookout but if someone hits you, will the MSA pay? The more I think about this the crazier I think it is - and this from someone who races!
  9. Having no timing for practice makes no sense. The old way of practice at Goodwood was odd enough but at least the first lap was timed. I can see this putting a lot of people off especially those who aren't confident sharing a track with other cars. This changes the whole nature of the event.
  10. https://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/motorsport/driver-cooling - I particularly like the top with pockets for ice blocks On a more serious note, I think one of our Dubai members had some ducts fitted to the side of the car to channel air into the footwell although this might not be so good on a rainy day.
  11. Please add me to the list if you manage to get enough garages. Thanks, Shaun
  12. Blue SuperSport filling up in the Esso station opposite where I work. Nice to meet you and have a quick chat.
  13. Hi Rod - can you tell me where you are still seeing NtL? I've updated the home page and created a new RAD page in the "About us" section.
  14. Looks OK to me :-) Probably a browser caching issue.
  15. It should We'll get it sorted ASAP.
  16. Hi Roger - agree we can use the same server as the BC Archive. We have a backup of the old site so it's all possible. The only likely difficulty is getting it copied to the new server as it is "quite large" :-). I understand you have a high bandwidth internet connection so if I can get you access to the source then maybe you can do the copy? My little 1.4MB/s link won't cut the mustard I'm afraid! I've got quite a lot on at the moment but will try and find some time soon to take a look. The reason for not allowing an individual to host this has less to do with "control" (although the MT are reluctant to let the data out of our hands) but more to do with what happens if the person hosting it gets fed-up, falls out with the club or walks under a bus - what do we do then? This is the primary reason the website is outsourced and the BC archive is on a club managed server. Anthony - The MT aren't "scared" we're just taking a prudent approach on managing the club's resources - imagine the outcry if we put this facility in place and then it disappeared for reasons beyond our control! Like it or not, the world is a different place compared to when Blatchat first came into being - there are always threats the club has to face and the MT must take a prudent approach to all activities. 17. Email them to blatmaps@lotus7.club - if you don't hear anything then email to me. More info here including what to send: /forum/chitchat/blat-routes-your-forum-need-you Display on a map a good idea which needs a bit of development work doing to achieve.
  18. /guides/frequently-asked-questions/forum-user-guide To insert a picture that is on your own computer: Position your cursor where you want to insert the image in your post, and click the Image button (resembles a couple of mountain peaks). Click "Browse Server", and then "Upload" in the top left of the new window that appears. Selecting "Choose File" will open a file explorer window where you can choose the image file that you want to upload and click "open". Click "upload" and after a few seconds your picture will be uploaded to the server, and appear highlighted in your own folder. Click "Insert File" at the top of the window and the image will appear in an Image Properties window where you can chage the size if required, or simply click "OK" to add it to your post. The limitation is in the Drupal editor. We're using most stuff as it comes because it costs too much to customise.
  19. K21 is "soft". Most of the Kumho users stuck with them so unlikely to find any but you never know your luck.
  20. K60/K61 is the medium compound. Kumho have some in manufacture now and should be here in about 6-8 weeks. I'm waiting for that size/compound too. I can't go racing until I can get some :-(
  21. Sorry Graham - you're just going to have to drive faster :-)
  22. Good news - just got a call to say I'm in :-)
  23. Assembly guide says 2 litres for gearbox but you'll struggle to get that much in - I used 2 quarts of MTL recently. 1.1 litres of EP90 for the diff. I recently used the nearest spec Comma oil available in Halfords. I'd have to check but it was either EP75W-90 or EP80W-90 GL5. They also do a LS80W-90 GL5 for LSDs.
