  1. Hi James, Nick Chan, his son Dom and I are (for better or worse) going to camp at the track the night before*woohoo* But please add us to the curry / beer list Rog
  2. A few die-guards (or The Daft Ones) typically camp at the track the night before and head into Louth to meet up for food. in previous years we have also used an excellent B&B in a beautiful Rectory just outside the town. The owner myself have retired by now but I can check Having spoken to James and Dave, we're very keen to get any newcomers to Club trackdays and/or Cadwell to meet up prior to the event, so I may break with camping tradition and see if there's still space at the Pack Horse. the local curry house and Italian restaurants are ok too Rog Gen. Sec.
  3. Thanks Jonathan, I was reliably informed that Stack had ceased supplying.....just wondered if there might be an alternative source cheers Rog

  14. Hi Malc.....hope you're well. I have a TPS taken from my car last year when I was trying sort a problem. If that's not suitable (from SLR), I can still get Rover parts from my former employer if you have a part number. give me a shout on 07528 825805 as I'm heading Liverpool tomorrow for a conference and could take TPS with me all the best Rog
  15. echo Nick's comments. I spent a few hours walking the circuit to watch the racing at night well away from the GP circuit...out on the Nordschleife proper. All kins of crazy shanty towns get assembled -takes the locals days. Spent a pleasant 45mins chatiing to 4 local guys 'n gals after i tripped over a tree root. Was then asked if 'I fancied a sausage' which was bit disconcerting in a dark German wood at 2 in the morning - thankfully they meant a bratwurst - or at least that what they told me it was*hehe* not a corporate event - just lots of mad locals having a great time
  16. I have recently fitted a new tank. When I removed the old tank and disconnected the electrical feed, I noticed that the connector on the pump side then became loose, thereby making reconnection impossible once fitted to the new tank - ie. nothing to push against. Before disconnecting I'm sure i noticed that the black electrical connector on the wiring loom side pushed into the pump connector so that it was flush with the tank. I asked a local auto electrican if he could refix the fuel pump connector to the fuel pump body so that it was firm. He has done this but the loom connector now sits about 10cm proud from the tank side. I now have a major fuel leak from this area....something is not sealing right Anyone know of a decent pump repair outfit in the Midlands. Pump works fine - it's just that the leak will screw my fuel consumption*banghead*
  17. Ok thanks all. Time to remove scuttle and investigate
  18. Got a shiny new tank and with the car having a Stack8130 - I set about the calibration process. I have donwloaded the manual from Stack website. I have added my 4 litre 'reserve' and then, as the good book, says tried to enter calibration mode - which should be buttons 1&2 together (left to right) At this stage dash should read: Tank Qty 0L Reading 255 However when pressing buttons 1&2 I get following display: Stack 800 V5.10 ST8130KMP 11/09/02 I'm pretty convinced buttons are wired 1-4 left to right because 3rd button from left changes the display layer - confirmed by the manual any advice gratefully received*banghead*
  19. wanted to form the basis of a mould for some experimentation. Paint can be shabby but shape intact cheers Rog
  20. looking for a trailer on behalf of friend with an MG TF...please blatmail, or post here.
  21. *thumbup*On behalf of a mate and his recently acquired track day device! Engine is installed in a 2002 MG TF 160. The engine starts fine & idles smoothly, but when it's revved, it hits a limiter at about 5,750rpm. Snap-On diagnostics yields fault code P1522 which it says is "Variable Intake Solenoid #2 Circuit Malfunction". The solenoids are both measuring the resistance they should (7 ohms) and the brown, blue and black plugs to solenoids and temp sensor are all plugged in as they should be. Any help on solving this problem would be greatly appreciated :) Thanks Sounds a bit ECU to me..but would welcome more knowledgeable input rog
  22. ......er got a 1989 964 too 😬 Great car too but very different
