*thumbup*On behalf of a mate and his recently acquired track day device! Engine is installed in a 2002 MG TF 160. The engine starts fine & idles smoothly, but when it's revved, it hits a limiter at about 5,750rpm. Snap-On diagnostics yields fault code P1522 which it says is "Variable Intake Solenoid #2 Circuit Malfunction". The solenoids are both measuring the resistance they should (7 ohms) and the brown, blue and black plugs to solenoids and temp sensor are all plugged in as they should be. Any help on solving this problem would be greatly appreciated :) Thanks Sounds a bit ECU to me..but would welcome more knowledgeable input rog
