Hi, I'm looking for a carbon dash for std S3. Ideally with pre cut holes for std gauges, but will also consider a plain one. The newer the better. I'll be removing a carbon dash with holes cut for a Stack. cheers Rog

To all of those that have signed up with us and our partner Fasttrack Tours for Classic Le Mans, the Club Tours team wish you a safe and enjoyable trip. Ian from FTT has been many time before and will have issued a pack full of useful information as you head off to France. I guess the final thing to do is to keep fingers crossed for good weather. Have now read Jackal's detailed explanation of the removal of the same material I am tackling, in which he mentions Xylene (along with an appropriate warning!) Just spent 10 mins reading about Xylene and it's attendant less than pleasant side effects. The strong recommendation to use a specific type of respirator and other protections, has tempted me to stick to persistence, swearing and elbow grease. Rog

Hi, I'm stripping down my Porsche 964 for a refurb and have now reached the obstinate glue residue under the carpet which has now yellowed and hardened over the past 30+ years. I've tried a heat gun (which just seems to caramelise the surface) and Screwfix No Nonsense Sealant Remover. It appears as though I need a weapon's grade / industrial strength. Any recommendations please? Cheers Rog

Agree Scott, you would have to keep an eye on the tyre batch numbers when ordering. Much would depend on the scale and scope of the all time buy. Having done a few 'atb's' in my time, it's not just a case of buying everything they can, they'll doubtless be looking at the faster moving SKUs etc. will have to see Rog

BTW Scott, "all time purchase " means that Caterham is seeking to make a final single purchase of as much stock as the supplier will allow, based on their other customer commitments and their planned production runs. So after that ..... no more Rog

I admit that I have not read through all the posts on this thread, but with GM now having ref the business and no doubt Bob Laishley having a lot on his plate, wouldn't a follow up letter to Bob now be in order? As others have said, this is clearly an issue that has affected a fair few owners over the past few years and a gentle reminder letter would hopefully put the issue back towards the top of BL and his exec team's agenda. cheers Rog

Hi Terry, I too have Avon CR500 (13in) for many years and was preparing to order a set of ZZS and then read more of the future potential supply issues. For the last year I have been using R888Rs and whilst I accept they are not quite as good in the wet at CR500s, I wouldn't describe them as terrible. cheers Rog

Thank you Mr B . We were not on the NC500, just following our favourite roads of the Far North. The odd one out is a Stylus. Its owner having valiantly battled to get his engine rebuild back together in time for the trip, but sadly not quite completing it. A fantastic trip in mostly decent weather Rog
