  1. following an error (sorry John!) on my part this box is for sale again. 6 months old - only done c.500miles. NOTE: FOLLOWING CHAT WITH CHRIS WHEELER @ 7 WORKSHOP WHO COMPLETED THE INSTALL OF BOX INTO CAR. THE MAIN SHAFT IS DESIGNED TO MATCH TO A STEEL CRANK - CONSEQUENTLY IT IS C.3/4 INCH SHORTER THAN A NORMAL 2.8 SIERRA BOX SHAFT. I'll have the box back Thurs evening if anyone wants measurements etc £650 blatmail me initially if interested HAVING TALKED TO BRIAN AT BGH AND CHRIS WHEELER AT THE 50TH DO - THE BOX HAS THE 2.0 E2 BOX WITH THE 0.82 FINAL DRIVE. FOR XFLOW OWNERS I HAVE THE SPACER THAT FITS THE FORD BELL-HOUSING Rog Edited by - RogNeedham on 20 Sep 2007 19:09:19

  3. sorry for the delayed *thumbup* - definitely a great day. For those in any doubt Scudo Stunners are great road and wet weather tyres.................but they get more 'entertaining' as they heat up 😬 Sandy - glad to help Rog

  7. from a 1991 de dion car. One pre-S type seat for sale in good condition complete with runners. No headrest. located nr Derby £75 Rog
  8. looks like the engine is sold - will confirm 14/15 July Rog
  9. Having had a bit of a rethink in terms of what I need from a 7, I’ve decided to sell the all steel Roger King xflow engine currently fitted to my car. The rolling chassis will be re-fitted with a ‘standard’ 1700 Supersprint engine and sold separately later this year. Also for sale separately is a new BGH 5 speed box with long first supplied and fitted earlier this year by Chris @ 7 Workshop Engine Spec Modified 264 Cam AX Block 1800 (85.9mm) forged pistons Full dry sump system with brand new hoses All steel engine internals with Doug Kidde crank and arrow rods Brand new unleaded ‘race’ head (ported and flowed by Angelo through Chris Wheeler @ 7 Workshop) Weber DCEO 45's with K&N Filters Weber Alpha mapped 3D system Brand new (<100miles ago) QH alternator Electric fuel pump Figures: 193HP @ 7400rpm (data charts available from rolling road session at Northampton Motorsports in Apr 2006) 148lb/ft torque The engine has been checked over by Chris at 7 Workshop on its visits for upgrades etc. I understand that it was one of, if not, the last ‘big’ xflow that Roger King built and has provided many entertaining laps of Cadwell Park during 3 track days and regular blats in the Peak District. I am looking for offers c.£2750-£3000 for the engine and £600 for the gearbox. Please mail me offline to discuss or alternatively you can contact me on 0780 167 0765 (if not answered please leave a message) I live nr Derby and work nr Leicester – something can be worked out ref transport Rog
  10. Hi Phil - did you get my blatmail 🤔 Rog
  11. well after 3 years I'm reversing the process and need a standard 1700 s/spring engine (and preferably std 5 speed box) in order to return H64DPN to its std spec) the 1800cc all steel 193HP Roger King xflow currently in situ to be sold separately Rog
  12. I have years/decades worth of the above that need to go to a good home.....(you guessed it I'm moving house ) They'll go on email or I''l drop Autocar a note for their letters page - just wondered if anyone else wanted them. Clearly I'd like them all to go and when I return from a EuroBlat 17 June I'll list them all. The earliest is April 1977 with a Brabham BMW F1 car on the front. I'll happily let a years worth at a time go but not one copy at a time Rog
  13. Johnty similar comments to PAC, my car has been driven hard on Cadwell/Oulton trackdays for the last 3 years and at the Ring - I've never seen this type of pressure drop at high revs. I also have an oil cooler. just got back from a 30 mile blat up and down the local d/carriageway and noted the following: 80mph 4k rpm 65 lb/in2 80 deg c Peter - thx, have emailed back Rog
  14. that's just what I was thinking....so once the new alternator is fitted I have a nice little blat route that should allow me to test it.....and see what happens Rog
  15. Peter I've done a search on cavitation so understand the principle. I just wonder why this would have happened at Donington but not at Cadwell in April, Oulton Park last year, or at The Ring a couple of years ago Rog
  16. thanks Peter - not sure of the make. I'll take a picture and send it. But it's about 18inch tall by 8inch diameter - baffle about half way down Rog
  17. on Donington track day yesterday generally going well after about 3x 20 min sessions with engine running in high rev renage 6-8k and beyond at times...my passneger suddenly points to the pressure gauge which has dropped to 20 from the usual steady 75ish. in the paddock take the oil tank lid off and the oil seems hot - steam etc. No obvious damage to the oil cooler . track day at Cadwell a few weeks ago - no problems at all. I put the car on the trailer and drove 25 mins home. Starting the car to go up the drive and into the garage the pressure seemed ok again at 70ish. The engine is all steel 1800 xflow with steel internals etc. New Mobil 1 about 1000mile ago due to go on a big Euro road trip on 9 June so i'm a bit concerned any ideas
  18. The original 16 yr old alternator on my car is looking a bit sick. Is there a specific car it is off eg any 1980 Escort/Fiesta? Rog
  19. Mike I'll take the CR500s please..and if Hankler happens to back out of the un-tyred 13" I'll take those as well please. I've delivered something to you before I think - Hodgetts Lane 🤔 Rog
