I'm finishing off the installation of the std xflow into the old 7. I did not get any fuel pipes with the engine and carbs to link everything together. Before I buy some new braided hoses - could anyone send me a photo of everything connected as it should be please? also what bore of pipe should I go for?
the following link shows 3x snaps. 1st is the fuel pump, 2nd is the carbs without fuel pipes and 3rd shows close u pof the brass connectors that are loosely in the 'fuel in' side of each carb.

cheers Ian
- had already found that. Then I remembered I spent 4 years running the Lucas warehouse at Fradley
(doh) ...so I contacted someone I knew there and I'm now in possession of the official wiring diagram................having said that - that is no guarantee of me installing it correctly 😬

got one of these to attach to the xflow - anyone got a wiring diagram please 🤔

Hi Paul
yes I did get PM and have replied. Just posted this in case it doesn't fit your car configuration

good point Dave- it may come to that if the interest in the box in its present state dries up

I have one of the above for sale however it has the 2.0Sierra input shaft not the normal 2.8i shaft. It was specced this way to mate to a all steel xflow engine with Doug Kidde crank. Consequently when someone tried to fit the box to a std xflow the shaft was c.0.75in too short.
any ideas (in the absence of 7 variants) what other vehicles (RS Fords, Duratec,Zetec) this might suit. Just looking for other sales options of no one on BC is interested

following an error (sorry John!) on my part this box is for sale again.
6 months old - only done c.500miles.
NOTE: FOLLOWING CHAT WITH CHRIS WHEELER @ 7 WORKSHOP WHO COMPLETED THE INSTALL OF BOX INTO CAR. THE MAIN SHAFT IS DESIGNED TO MATCH TO A STEEL CRANK - CONSEQUENTLY IT IS C.3/4 INCH SHORTER THAN A NORMAL 2.8 SIERRA BOX SHAFT.
I'll have the box back Thurs evening if anyone wants measurements etc
£650
blatmail me initially if interested
HAVING TALKED TO BRIAN AT BGH AND CHRIS WHEELER AT THE 50TH DO - THE BOX HAS THE 2.0 E2 BOX WITH THE 0.82 FINAL DRIVE. FOR XFLOW OWNERS I HAVE THE SPACER THAT FITS THE FORD BELL-HOUSING

Fuel pipes to Weber Carbs
in TechTalk
Posted
be careful Mr B - or a poke in the eye with a chopstick might cause offense 😬
found the link to Guys' pics last night..............and having gone into all the boxes of bits I was given with the engine ,I found a load of black pipes with various connectors
- I think these are the fuel lines. They just don't look like the ones I had on the old Weber 45s I had before
thx again
