I bought the engine Rob Grigsby mentions earlier when I was pondering the same issues as you. Likewise I have limited technical ability and decided to buy the whole engine rather than upgrade the existing unit. I went from famine to feast 😬 -as it was (still is somehwere) a 193HP all steel affair 😬 again however I realised that having such a highly specced engine would require more TLC and general upkeep than I had the time or skill to devote to it. A Mr King special...very special I guess you are not looking to go quite that far though Rog

saw and heard 😬 this car at CCM this lunchtime. Great sound ❗ at first I thought it was a Radical parked in the car park starting up. One of their guys was having fun(?) getting it off the line bodywork looked okish - wheels needed a lot TLC Rog

indeed thanks to Geoff and the team - a superb day. Having collected the car from CCM the night before (post the May on road incident) ☹️ - straight to Oulton. As Mr Price will testify I had a wee spin exiting Lodge ending up just nudging the armco opposite the pitlane entrance *eek* - for a moment I thought I'd be heading back to CCM............thankfully no damage at all would be interested in seeing the footage - (green yellow stripe with clams) 😬 with apologies to anyone behind that I may have startled Rog

Marc I've got an alternator in the garage that came along with an xflow engine I fitted to my old car - a spare. I assume it works. Just had a look at it - Mintex. You can try it if you want - if it works say £15 to NTL I'm in Derby 0780 1670765 -if you want anymore info Rog
