Clip is normally held in rubber boot with a couple of staples and easily falls out.
LADS TOP TIP:_
Fasten the clip to the boot with a couple of small cable ties.

Sorry can't help with supply of speedo, but, will fitting a bike speedo be adequate? Only cost around £10 and can be retained when original speedo repaired - they're much more accurate and can be changed to kms for travel abroad.
Just a thought.

I haven't fitted these, but I must confess I'm tempted. They look similar to original i.e. rectangular as opposed to the round lights I've seen used.
I'll probably fit at some time when funds allow.

Thanks for your responses.
Neil YHM back.
Stu - thanks for the call I'll look at the Samco site for a 32/32 Tee.
Paul - Your solution has possibilities. Just one thing - If I have it correct, in the original configuration the heater take off from the thermostat housing is before the thermostat and the feed to the bottom of the header tank is from the submarine pipe i.e. after the thermostat. If I understand correctly when you (and others) have fitted a PRRT you take the heater take off direct to the header tank therefore cutting out the thermostat. From what you say this works ok. Therefore I could perhaps try your suggestion of inserting a Tee into this pipe.
I was expectint to have to put a Tee (to header tank) in the bottom hose between the PRRT and the rad, but it now seems not.

I'm planning to fit a pressure relief remote thermostat (the Freelander one) as part of my K series rebuild, but I'm finding little space to fit it all in, whilst retaining my heater and Laminova.
I planned to fit the PRRT in the bottom hose close to radiator. I also planned to fit the laminova in the bottom hose along with a small T piece to take the place of the metal submarine pipe which takes the pipe to the bottom of the expansion tank, but the whole lot needs about 26 inches of space in the bottom hose.
Has anybody else managed to fit all this in and if so how did you do it?
Any suggestions appreciated.
P.S. I've also got an anti-cavitation tank which takes up space.

Standard tools are fine. Suggest Redline for spares - most helpful - see ad in Low Flying. Bushes are fairly cheap - suggest you buy a couple of sets so that you have spares - p & p will be the same.
Worn bushes will manifest in a "loose" feeling at rear. To check wear simply push/pull the car sideways and see if there is play. Extreme wear will be obvious.

A frame is the metal bars which form a triangle and locate the rear axle or de dion tube. Attaches to the chassis at each side of the car and to boittom of de dion or axle in middle.
The A frame bush is a rubber bush fitted to the A frame where it joins the axle or de dion tube.
Is your car live axle or de dion?
If live axle, bush is in 2 pieces and likely to want changing fairly regularly depending on use. Fairly easy to change once you've done it a couple of times.
If de dion - a bit of a pig to change, but more robust and not likely to need changing at all.

No problems. My vice is available. I'm away on business today and tomorrow. I will be at LADS meeting on Wednesday. I should be around on Thursday and Friday evenings and in the garage rebuilding the 7 most of the weekend.
See you at LADS meet or give me a ring later in the week to arrange.

Are you trying to bend sideways or backward and forward?
If you're trying to bring the pedal closer to you or further away from you, you can adjust the cable. If this is not enough - Simply bend it. Take the pedal out (held by a single bolt to a captivated thread in chassis), put in vice and bend the top of the pedal. Use a piece of tube or similar pushed over pedal top to get extra leverage if needed. A bit of trial and error.
If you are bending sideways, again remove pedal and use a vice. Make sure you bend the pedal part though i.e. make sure the top part still pulls straight on the cable.
Shout if you need help.

I wasn't aware that there was a difference between top and bottom as long as they are the flush fitting type for the top i.e. use a screwdriver rather than have a small "handle".
The only difference I am aware of is that the ones for a carbon fibre nosecone are different to cope with the "thinner" carbon fibre.
Suggest you ring Redline (no. in LF) - they'll supply the corrrect ones.

I suspect and hope that it's a worn linkage and the new one should cure it.
I know it sounds obvious, but check clutch adjustment. If you have problems engaging first it can often be simply the clutch not fully disengaging. Assume you have a cable clutch - just try adjusting a few turns just to try it - you can always put it back.
Good luck.

You can weld an extension to the standard roll bar, but it will still be a standard roll bar which is of lighter material than an FIA bar and the hood will probably not fit, so personally I wouldn't bother. Standard bar, even with welded on extension will not be accepted for L7C events.
If you're changing, go for the FIA bar.

Up north we get our hands dirty. You'll be having manicures next
Seriously I've given up on gloves - I can't find any that last more than a couple of minutes and it doesn't help having hands like shovels.

Good of you to acknowledge that you were incorrect. It's only because I'm in the midst of doing the job that I can speak with a little authority. Ask me next year and I'll have forgotten all about it!! 😬
