  1. Tim I'll give you a ring.
  2. Wall units would be handy for my garage please.
  3. Is it a 20 amp fuse? If so replace with 30 amp. This was a Caterham recommendation from a long time ago. Edited by - Paul Richards on 2 May 2013 20:50:40
  4. Quoting Ed W: Slightly off post but can you change the ratio without changing the diff? No.
  5. Open to offers. Remember it's for a good cause.
  6. A tonneau cover was left behind at an event and despite efforts to find it's owner it has been sitting on the ESV unclaimed for some time. It has therefore been decided to offer it for sale in aid of NTL. It appears to be for a live axle car (has the holes for the top of the shock absorbers) and is in very good condition. How does £40 or nearest offer sound. Can be collected at Stoneleigh.
  7. Thanks guys. Pistonheads advert renewed here I'm also surprised it hasn't been sold. It is a lovely car with a lot of good bits. Sorry Phil - no swaps.
  8. Quoting john g: Nigel, considering you did not know much about 7's when you bought it I think you have learned a lot in such a short period of time 😬 That's because he's been to the LADS Get To Know Your 7 day 😬 😬 😬

  10. Ahmed Go to the soft bits shop
  11. That standard switch is very unreliable. There's a better mechanical one that will fit from Car Builder Solutions. It's slightly more expensive at £9 inc. VAT but will last longer and be more reliable. See:- STSM on page 13. Edited by - Paul Richards on 16 Apr 2013 12:32:43
  12. Yes. First time out for a while. Trying out LSD and doing shakedown ready for LADS trip to Classic Team Lotus at Hethel on Wednesday. Let's hope the weather stays good.
  13. I assume you have a K series car. If so, I suspect your leak is from the water rail which is adjacent to the rear exhaust port. The flange on the water rail that connects to the head often leaks. If this is the case you will need to drain coolant, remove water rail, clean thoroughly and refit with a new gasket.
  14. Still for sale. Needs to be seen to be appreciated.
  15. Quoting ECR: It's been a long time since I used my rear fog lights and I have done a lot of rewiring since then... When the main light switch is on and all the instruments are lit, does the fog light switch illuminate as well ? Mine currently does, and when the switch is pressed it uncovers a top (orange) lens. Is this correct ? Roger That's exactly how mine works. Also, fog light only works on dipped headlight i.e. does not work when headlights are on full beam. I find this strange, but it's apparently correct.
  16. I'll take them. I'll send a BM.
  17. Yes, I remember Davey B having a steering wheel stolen at Le Mans - had to get one shipped over. I guess Le Mans has a number of petrol head scrotes. Having said that I've always left my wheel on, although I've now fitted one that's small enough to fit in my pocket 😬 Edited by - Paul Richards on 2 Apr 2013 10:15:21
  18. Malcolm CBS also do the forged one. Is this the one you are after? Steering column was suitable, but may need another. Project is proving very challenging.
  19. Not the first time I've heard of people trying to bleed brakes with calipers on upside down/wrong side.
  20. Malcolm I think "pressed steel" is a better description, assuming you mean the one which attaches to the rack. It seems to be a fairly common universal joint and there is one available from Car Builder Solutions at £22 + vat. Hope this helps.
  21. Add lightness - run without. As your engine builder says it's quite normal.
