  1. Posting on behalf of Alan Dixon. He would like just one.
  2. We'll look forward to the pictures.
  3. Nosecone is normally already fitted to the car when kit is delivered. 2 Dzus fasteners at top and 2 dzus fasteners at bottom.
  4. ESV will arrive at Blyton mid/late afternoon on Saturday, so will be available for BBQ on Saturday evening for those camping. A little help erecting the awning on Saturday would be appreciated.
  5. It's an early '92 kit that was registered 09/93. Thanks for the offer, I'll keep it in mind. Hopefully the ear took the force and nothing else is damaged at the rear Nigel Are you sure? I thought it was a 2003 registered car. Sorry I 've not been able to offer any help as I've got a lot on at the moment preparing for trip to Picos. Give me a ring if I can offer some advice.
  6. Take the wire off the sender and put it to earth with the ignition switched on. If gauge goes all the way across then gauge is OK and it's a sender problem. Senders do appear to be more problematic than gauges,.
  7. I will be there manning ESV and will see Mav at next weeks MADS meeting. Is that any help?
  8. Tom ESV is visiting various places if seller can get them to it. See ESV Diary
  9. If you have the removable diagonals it could be coming from there. Try tightening the bolts and a adding a bit of lube. Edited by - Paul Richards on 6 Aug 2013 13:12:17
  10. Redline - 01883 346515. Give it a couple of minutes before you have lots of posts advising to do away with the foam.
  11. "Powder coating - Aylesbury" That'll take a lot of powder 😬 I've successfully completed the job using a bolt and sockets. Needed to tighten and then hit bolt with hammer before tightening a little more and repeat - several times.
  12. Ditto. I had a tow bar fitted to my new VW by local specialists. No separate indicator for tow bar electrics, but on board computer was altered for trailer including disabling parking sensors and automatic parking when trailer attached. Dash display now shows a trailer drawbar at rear of car when trailer attached - COOL
  13. Nigel Connection of pipes shouldn't matter. FYI my water rail is connected to top heater hose as yours. Blatted this week and heater matrix cool but air drawn though heater still feels a little warm as ambient temperature is high. Just make sure valve is fully off and if still too hot seal heater outlet with gaffer tape, but doubt this will be necessary if heater valve is properly off.
  14. Red/Ali??? Are you sure you didn't just see a reflection in a shop window? 😬
  15. Fiddly job, but replaceable. Spare bulbs available from Maplins.
  16. Ahmed I've had to replace my cap a few times - they seem to be very poor. I now carry a spare.I suspect it's the hard driving that has shown up a dodgy cap rather than the modification. I've modified my cooling system and it's seems to work fine with no problems.
  17. There are some in the Car Buyer Solutions Catalogue. Not sure whether they are big enough. You may be able to make something of the cargo nets with the hooks. See page 228 :- Cargo Nets Edited by - Paul Richards on 12 Jun 2013 16:56:48
  18. If I'm not mistaken, are revolution nuts not specific to the wheels. In other words, I think they have a long shoulder that fits through the wheel. You may have to obtain from Revolution.
  19. Probably been to the excellent Dunsfold Handling day.
  20. Hot starting click?? Retain original starter and just do the relay mod for a tenner. BM me if you need details.
  21. I think you'll find that even on a metric chassis it is a 1/2 inch UNF bolt with a 3/4 AF nut. Metric chassis still uses the same size bushes on the A frame etc.
  22. Quoting TBKBABABTIM: E.G. Doesn't mention using a sleeve in the bottom mounting which can't be right Assume you are now talking about front shock absorber.
