  1. M18 x 1.5 See here Not sure, but I think it may be the same as a spark plug.
  2. I also have wide size 11 feet and use Pumas. I do however take them to local cobbler who stretches them for me.
  3. As you describe, but car needs to be on axle stands with suspension at full droop. Splitting the top ball joint can be a bit tricky.
  4. You can extend the life of the sender by putting silicone around the contact. In my experience it is the influx of water and dirt via the small gap around the spade connector that kills the sender.
  5. I find an audible warning is good for indicators. Can be fitted for a couple of pounds.
  6. When we say slack in cable we mean just making sure the clutch release arm is free to return and nothing jammed to prevent this. There will be some slack in the cable which is taken up by the lightweight return spring. Setting off in third gear is similar test to starting in first with brake on but easier to execute. If clutch is sound, car should stall. Just a thought. It wasn't just a bit of wheel spin you experienced was it?
  7. I plan to arrive late Saturday afternoon with ESV. Some help erecting the awning etc. would be appreciated. The "new" gas BBQ will be available on Saturday evening for you to try out. Bring your burgers/steaks/sausages etc.
  8. Make sure there's slack in the cable. If there is it is pointing to new clutch. To help identify, try setting off in third gear. If the clutch is slipping this will often tell you.
  9. Use Caterham rubber mats or ribbed rubber cut to shape. Use Velcro or poppers to secure to floor adjacent to seat. I have a brand new pair of Caterham rubber mats if you are interested in purchasing.
  10. Gary I think you'll struggle to find copper gaskets. I think Roger King was the last person who had some made. If you have any luck please let me know. I've been trying to source some for Sarah's car.
  11. I have some. Bare aluminium. How does £40 inc postage sound.
  12. Thanks Chris. I was hoping you were going to Curborough.
  13. Yes A tighten and then loosen seems to help.
  14. I've arranged for the 2 new club Coleman shelters to get to Curborough via Clive Marsden. Clive will be bringing one back, but the other needs to go to Ian Bruce. Are any of you sprinters able to get this close to him?
  15. Peel rivet is the way as already mentioned.
  16. Tell me about it. 6 hours to Crawley!!
  17. What Peter says is correct. You need shorter shocks for the through de dion mountings.
  18. I would install some on the edge of the bonnet. Looks neater than on the chassis and also protects the bonnet if you put it down flat on the floor.
  19. In heavy traffic on M6 trails ring down to Goodwood Sprint?
  20. Almost an inch!! That sounds like a lot as there isn't a lot of travel anyway. Try applying the handbrake and then test the pedal. If it is much improved it indicates that the springs on the rear pads are moving them back quite a bit. If this is the case make sure the pads and the springs rivetted to them can move properly.
  21. " I can't send you a mail as you are super popular and your mailbox is full. " Ultra popular - I think there is a 1000 limit on the number of messages!!!!!!
