  1. Planning to arrive with ESV around 5.00pm on Friday. Help with setting up would be appreciated.
  2. Bottom bolt holding shocker to de dion is 1/2 inch UNF. Be careful it's all too easy to cross thread (you may already have done so by the sound of things. To line things up it sometimes helps to turn the shocker through 180 degrees as rubbers tend to stick in a not quite straight position - if you see what I mean. To ensure bolt goes in straight it's sometimes better to remove the top link of the de dion so that de dion can be twisted to help line up bolt exactly.
  3. I have a brand new (still in bags) pair of anodised stanchions. £50.
  4. Best to mount "terminals to the bottom" where possible Good idea.
  5. Unfortunately relays are often poorly made and prone to ingress of water. I'm not sure that any are better than another. My first went a bit faulty after about 9 years, so not a big problem at only £5 each. I did think about taking one apart and trying to seal it better using glue but then it was easier just to buy a new one to carry as a spare.
  6. Like these I need 2 x 6 inch and 2 x 8 inch.
  7. Just on our way home from a couple of days with Peter and Lin Williams. Returned their re-bag after German trip and managed to meet up with some of the N. Wales crew at Rhos on Sea on Sunday. A pleasant weekend. By the way, Chris Proudlove has the L7C banner for Audlem on Sunday and will pass to Bill Blundell who will bring to Tatton for you.
  8. ??R500 is fuel injected and doesn't have a carburettor.
  9. "Which engine ? On the K series it's on the front of the block - close to where the oil filter screws into." I think you are confusing with oil pressure sender. Normally temperature sender is in Apollo tank. Not sure of location on dry sump.
  10. Check the amount of grease in front wheel bearings. Most newish cars I've seen have very little/inadequate grease which could lead to early failure.
  11. I think I may have some new ones in my garage. I'll have a look tomorrow.
  12. My engine is a similar spec to yours and I run a Radtec with standard fan.
  13. I have some magazines on the ESV. Not sure if there is an April edition, but will check in 2 weeks when I next see ESV at Silverstone.
  14. Brake light switches are poor quality and often fail. A better quality one is available from Car Builder Solutions.
  15. It wasn't me, but I was in Freiburg in the 7 just over a week ago (along with a few of the LADS).
  16. JV has it right. Check for leaks on exhaust manifold.
  17. Send it to Oxted. They turned mine around in a couple of days.
