  1. Brilliant Jonathan. Exactly what I am looking for. Many thanks.
  2. Some years ago someone posted a link on Blatchat for some thin concave plastic mirror finish reflectors which could be used in the rear lights. Mine need replacing. Can anyone remember the source?
  3. I know some have fitted a little catch tank, but I don't think this is necessary. I have found success by fitting a long plastic breather pipe like a pigs tail i.e. with a loop in it. No need to alter the boot floor. I cable tied the end of the pipe pointing towards the floor near the wheel arch.
  4. Ah. Thanks Mark. Forgot the set up may be different with the oil tank bellhousing.
  5. Very tight fit. You will probably end up prizing off with a couple of screwdrivers or using grips/pliers to pull.
  6. No. There is no additional securing. The set up you have is correct.
  7. There's already the option to display various number of posts per page. Have a look at the top.
  8. Stuart I note your comments, but I've just bought a set of ZZS's to replace my CR500s, but not yet fitted them, so can't comment fully yet. My decision was made based on the practical experience of seeing ZZS tyres used by the Caterhams at the Race of Remembrance in absolutely horrendous conditions when track was extremely wet and they performed well. I'll hope they perform just as well on the road.
  9. "Who is monkeying about" ??? No one
  10. Gavin. Is your windscreen damaged. Do you have cover on your insurance policy? If so you can claim and just pay the excess. No loss of no claims discount.
  11. Just the sort of thing that happens at LADS all the time with no charge. Do members in other areas not do the same? Or do people on Blatchat not visit their local meeting?
  12. Grim Reaper The manual tensioner can be adjusted to provide more tension. Not got one in front of me, but it involves dismantling. From memory there is an interference fit between base and pulley. You can prise apart with a screwdriver and move round to get more tension. All goes back together ok and large bolt holds it all in place. Difficult to describe, but hope you can understand.
  13. After much trial, I finally sought the services of a mobile auto electrician who carried out similar tests and he was equally baffled. We were just coming to the conclusion that there must be a problem with the wiring and having checked it all except under the dash I was envisaging having to remove the scuttle to get at it all. We finally made one last check and removing the offside led rear stop tail bulb cut the 6.7 volts going to the brake circuit. Replaced the bulb and and hey presto all working fine. Couldn't believe that a bulb could go faulty like that and be responsible for such a failure. Happy boy now . Now off to celebrate St. Pats day with a drop of Guinness.
  14. "It's a paper element in the 360 and 420 airbox" Sorry I didn't appreciate that. Assumed it was a foam filter.
  15. Hi Callum Yours is a new car. I can't believe you need a new filter already unless you have a problem. It's normal to just wash and re-oil the filter.
  16. I've just purchased ZZS's from BMTR. CR500's are still available but are slightly more expensive.
  17. On a k series it is important to use oil or better still engine building lube on the bolts especially under the head of the bolt.
  18. Thanks Christian I'll pass on the info. Much appreciated.
  19. As per title. Does anyone have a pump like THIS kicking around? Friend has broken a fitting on top of the pump, so even a defective pump may fit the bill if the top can be swapped. Trackdays booked for Friday and Saturday.
  20. I prefer the over the wheel type. You can use your existing straps if you buy a couple of extra hooks off e bay.
  21. There are copies of the build manual on this site and Caterhams and the very good "get to know your seven" info on this site. You shouldn't need anything else.
  22. Sigma sender is a pig to access especially on a 150 with throttle bodies. I suspect that's why a suitable spanner is needed.
  23. The clips have little barbs on them. You'll probably have to prise them off with a screwdriver. They probably won't be reusable. I find it better to secure by drilling a couple of small holes either side of the slots and using a small cable tie to secure. Drill the holes so that the cable tie puts a little tension on the grill tang. IYSWIM
