  1. Do you have a master switch? If so, try pushing the key in and maintaining pressure on it.
  2. LADS TOP TIP - Using a gear oil bottle is hard work. Use an oil can (less than £4 from Machine Mart). Attach a piece of clear plastic tube (similar to that used for windscreen washers). Also use one for diff top up.
  3. Do you mean the top wishbone joint or the ball joint on the end of the steering rack? Gaitors for the former are available from Redline and Caterham HERE Not sure if gaitors are available for the latter, but worth ringing Redline to enquire. In any event new track rod ends aren't too expensive HERE
  4. Hi Stephen They are useful but in limited circumstances. Obviously useful for finger tightening in a confined space but not sure if you could overcome the resistance of a new nylock nut. Obviously you still need to tighten in a conventional manner. I think for your job I could probably use my trusty long extension(s) and a universal joint with my socket. Ive used a fancy ratchet that you describe. I don't own one, but guess if I did I'd probably find uses for it but would it be enough to justify the purchase? I'm not sure.
  5. Sounds like Nigel Watson.
  6. Engine management light on a Caterham? Things have moved on.
  7. Sounds like a bargain. I already have a Minno and am looking to fit a low level tyre rack. Any chance of a couple of pictures of the rack. I'm trying to make one. Good luck with the sale. richards dot p3 @sky dot com
  8. Switches are poor quality. A better switch is available from Car Builder Solutions and it is a direct replacement. Edited to say:- HERE
  9. "Unlikely to be the upright bottom joints - the mechanical advantage over those is quite high - plus ptfe lined, so should remain pretty slippy" Bricol. I hear what you say, but I speak from experience. It has happened. Surprising I know.
  10. Could be the spherical bearings that form the bottom ball joints. Try lubricating with a drop of thin oil.
  11. 17 years and used the spare 3 times. On two of the occasions tyre weld would have been useless and I was miles from civilisation. I'll stick with a spare.
  12. Use SFS. Club discount and good service.
  13. I have 2 that hold my spare wheel on. You are welcome to borrow them. Yellow 7 on a trailer towed by a VW Tiguan.
  14. They need for SV. I don't think that will fit on a Minno.
  15. HERE? I think these are what you are looking for. See you at Gawsworth?
  16. Brilliant Jonathan. Exactly what I am looking for. Many thanks.
  17. Some years ago someone posted a link on Blatchat for some thin concave plastic mirror finish reflectors which could be used in the rear lights. Mine need replacing. Can anyone remember the source?
  18. I know some have fitted a little catch tank, but I don't think this is necessary. I have found success by fitting a long plastic breather pipe like a pigs tail i.e. with a loop in it. No need to alter the boot floor. I cable tied the end of the pipe pointing towards the floor near the wheel arch.
  19. Ah. Thanks Mark. Forgot the set up may be different with the oil tank bellhousing.
  20. Very tight fit. You will probably end up prizing off with a couple of screwdrivers or using grips/pliers to pull.
  21. No. There is no additional securing. The set up you have is correct.
  22. There's already the option to display various number of posts per page. Have a look at the top.
