    As stated it’s most likely to be the sender. Do you still have foam in the sump? The other alternative could be the foam breaking up and blocking the pickup.

    Unfortunately with narrow track suspension you do have to point the indicators inwards a little to avoid contact with cycle wings.

    Tom If i recall correctly my car had the grommet on a small alluminium plate that was attached to the pedal box with pop rivets once the column was fitted. This allows the column to run centrally through the grommet. A little bit of rubber grease on the column helps to ensure it doesnt bind on the grommet.

    Broken spring in my clutch gave similar symptoms.

    Similar to Colin. I use a small piece of round tube (scaffold fitting?) which just fits onto the metal ring and then use a vice to squeeze it on. The vice gives much more control. If you try tapping on with a hammer it's not very successful and you're likely to damage the rubber.

    Redline stock them. If you have narrow track these tend to split quite often but they are cheap to replace. Suggest order more than one as they will come in and you’ll only have one lot of p and p.

    Beware Halfords. We went there for an emergency battery on the first leg of our Picos trip. They had one with the same dimensions as the Banner (even had a small picture of a 7 on it) but the base was slightly too big for the tray.

    Stephen Shaun's bulbs are bayonet. The ones you are suggesting are capless. Shaun I'll look in the garage later to see if I have some fittings.

    Stu makes a good point. The tonneau is not really needed. Shower cap and half hood are what you need.

    Make sure the tonneau cover is warm and pliable when you fit it and stretch it tight otherwise you will find it sags when in normal use.

    I don’t have a rapfix but you are correct it does stick out further from the dash. I think by about an inch but no doubt someone with a rapfix will be along soon to confirm.

    Bulbs in switches can be renewed with care. They are a tiny bulb. Used to be available from now defunct Maplins. Assume they must be available elsewhere.

    The problem can occur on a 7 because of lack of use. Bearing gets damp then stands for a few weeks getting rusty. Muck and rust build up and can cause a problem. Daily use prevents this.

    A Sigma I presume. If so you can pick up the pump much cheaper than CC. It’s used on a number of cars including Peugeot’s I believe. Is there a part number on it? If so google is your friend.

    As Stu says. Disconnect universal joint (either from rack or steering column) and rotate 180 degrees. Make sure bolt goes back in the groove when you reconnect.
