    Hi Dick I have just made one of these cat replacment pipes for my CSR looks so much better i also upgraded to a TechCraft silencer with the cat installed. On the spring clips i would suggest that without them you would rely on the rear silencer mounting to push the colector against the manifold. It would be a small job to get some clips welded to you collecter to replicate the origional. I had no problem removing the lambda sensor you will find a plug inside the engine bay which needs to be disconnected. Regards Paul

    Hi Cash waiting for de-dion rolling chassis must be road registered. I have plans to build a car for next years hill climb championship so the ideal car would be an ex Academy car minus engine and box but with full Cage ( BEC is the plan ). Wheels suspension can all be part of any options if this helps. As the race season is now drawing to a close i hope this will generate some responses.     Caterham Stainless Exhaust Silencer with black heat shield 2.5 I.D bore was fitted to duratec engine car. Caterham price £300 + shield Bad point : the rear mounting has been removed otherwise 4500 mile condition. Easy fix. £50 + postage Edited by - paul cardy on 11 Oct 2009 18:29:02

    2.3 Duratec

    HI looking to buy a second hand 2.3 duratec so any help with the following would be helpful. What uk model cars is this engine fitted to Ford / Mazda ? year etc. Any one have one lying under a blanket being kept warm and looking for a good home ?

    Hi Steering rack for sale covered less that 3k in my CSR its the Red disc 8% ratio and should fit a SV not sure about other models ! Looking for £150 plus posting.

    Hi Paul I changed to an aero screen took a morning. probally best if you have an assistant as removing the glass screen with one hand while removing bolts and wiring can be tricky. Its is a real transformation to drive. Have a look at a previous post that i logged called CSR 260 Mods for some of the photos of before and after. Regards Paul

    Darren Thanks for the coments on the front splitter never sure how these sort of mods would be recived, i had wondered if there was enough interest i could make them to order !!

    Darren Thanks i give them a call to see what they have to say, spoken to Gary but at that time he had not played witha CSR. What are you building at the moment ? i assume K80 was sold ? One of my future plans would be to change to a Sequential gearbox, what were your experiences / recommendations.

    Just added some more photos and description of lates mods . Dizz the screen is CC and it deflects the air well and i just wear sunnys and a beany . Only way to go. As for performance advantage its probally all in the mind or is that just the voices ( who said that )

    Not sure if anyone else has had this problem ( CSR with upgraded filler cap ) When attempting to fill the car up with petrol the pump nozzle jams in the filler neck before it reaches the sprung return surge plate at the base of the neck and subsequently shuts off the petrol pump. So far the only way to fuel the car is to use a thin rod to hold the flap down. I have tryed putting the nozzle in from every angle ( insert joke here ) but no joy. ☹️
