  1. Having proceded whith the project of converting my de dion car to an underdash handbrake and assembled what i hoped would be all the parts required !! i have the following problem.

How the new cable operates with the origional ( with the underdash arrangment the outer cable is moved by the hand brake level ) does an origional car have a mounting bracket in the tunnel to secure the new cable ?

Any photos any one may have that can help would be appreciated

Currently the whole decision to change to this arrangment is dependant on RIF and if thay can supply the tunnel, but if this does happen then i would like to pay you a visit.

Thanks for your offers and help i will post again if i can progress this further.

  4. Hi

Thanks for all your comments and offers of information photos etc, Gordon look forward to these with baited breath !!.

My plan is to clean up the cabin with a RIF carbon tunnel cover and i thought the none handbrake version looked best, i can see that the general feeling is a bit like Marmite !

  5. Ok i know i should have taken some photos but : (

The de dion A frame has the front mounts offset which would either lower or higher the main frame depending on which way up its mounted its not much probally 8mm but i would appreciate if some one can advise which way up is correct ?

Also the A frame front mounts have approiximatly 12mm of total clearence to the chassis does this space get taken up evenly by washers / spacer ?
