  1. I might tbe interested in a good 2nd hand pump. I'm only ever going to 250 max, what do they go for?
  2. what a bunch of winkers ;)
  3. My tunnel used to flex on hard acceleration (180-200 bhp). Possibly the same thing, wasn't anything wrong with the chassis that caused it.
  4. nope, probably broke it though
  5. My rev counter used to run up to about 5k rpm before returning to zero with some force. Spoke to Elliot gauges who advised me to put a power resistor 1K ohm, 0.6-0.8W across the 12v supply and the signal wire to the gauge. This has resolved the problem. i seem toi recall someone else with the same issue some months back. Hope you find this post. no.6
  6. Mine pokes through the grommet at the top of the tunnel. No blanking reqd
  7. Sorry but I can't access my mail until next week Tuesday, I'll ask my wife if she would look it up for me 🥰 no.6

  18. wasn't long ago that raceline were doing a very good deal on these engines new. worth confirming the latest prices I would think
  19. it'd only matter if the universal joint (where the steering column meets the rack) was actually binding against itself, the greater the angle here the worse it would be.
  20. I've had a failed clutch do this. The springs were falling out of the plate, I thought diagnosis was likely to be a problem! Eventually i couldn't select any gear other than first and had to pull it out of gear once I got home to avoid rearranging my back wall in the garage.
  21. Speak to Bruce. He is likely to orecommned that you use thicker gauge tubing in the dif area if you're replacing that bit. Apparently the failure mode is that the tube itself, rather than bending, gets a piece torn out of it where the next member attaches to it. It's therefore the gauge rather than any lack of bracing that resolves the problem.
  22. I thought the prob with the 7 was front end lift esp. if you fit a diffuser. I imagine a spoiler might be cheaper than a diffuser though and maybe reduce drag a little perhaps. Sort of thing you'd hope they tried though when whoever it was put the 7 in a wind tunnel a while back. Will RiF / Len Unwin be along or Gary May perhaps to shed light on their aero experiences?

    Rivet Gun

I used m3 washers between popper and gun. Tthey do have an annoying tendency to get permanently attached to the popper though. Here's hoping they don't rust
