  1. Once you have tried the aero you will nt want to drive round with a full screen and no doors. Aero = summer Full screen = Cold and wet, winter.
  2. Arnie Have you tried Think Automotive or Pirtek they may be able to help and give advice. Nick
  3. Martin Chap at work has an immaculate Vincent Black Knight that he rides to work in the summer. Nick
  4. Gary May recommended to me that to improve my car on track that I should think about removing the watts linkage and fitting radius arms. He reckoned it would turn in better, rear wheel steer apparently I never bothered as I would have thought it was only really worth it if I competed in competitions/races where every modification makes a difference to you being either at the front of the grid or trailing at the back. Nick
  5. I have been using ATE Super Blue in mine and it seems pretty good and only requires changing every other year. Not too expensive either at £20 a litre. A BEC should not have too much of a problem with brake fade, unless you are some kind of driving god 😶‍🌫️ Nick
  6. Simon I sent you an email in August last year with the info, was it no good? Jetex F359092. Think it is out of an Ford Sierra? http://www.jetex.co.uk/website/filtersearch.php Nick
  7. Chris I think your car has the cable clutch modification like mine, how does your clutch pedal feel? I know it can be hard to tell as it is quite light anyway but it may be that it either needs adjusting or is just about to snap, just a guess but worth a look. Nick
  8. If you are going to mess around with car electrics you really need a multimeter, a cheap one will do that can measure dc (vdc)voltage and continuity/resistance(ohms). This way you will have no doubt which wire is which as you can check them. If you need any help then blatmail me and I will write down how you can check them, it is very simple. Normally a brown wire is a battery main feed(+ve) and blue is lighting switch. Nick
  9. Geoff Can you put me down for the Brand GP day if there are any spaces left. Symmo has sent me the registration form to complete. Nick
  10. The Omex 200 does not control the fuel pump. Many other ECUs do and hence you can put a relay between the ECU and the fuel pump to cut it. The oil pressure switch sounds like a good way to go. Nick Lava Orange Caterham Blackbird

  12. Oh, and I have a 3.14 in mine, which apparently are quite rare now as they were only fitted for a couple of years to a diesel Ford Sierra. Nick Lava Orange Caterham Blackbird
  13. Chris AP Suretrac in mine. Not available new any more. Probably a Quaife one would be the best alternative. The Titan is supposed to be very good if you use your car for competition but I have heard it said it can be a bit aggressive for road use. Nick Lava Orange Caterham Blackbird
  14. Mine is quite bright. Link in signature. Lava Orange Caterham Blackbird

  16. Car Builder Solutions do the exact same one as Caterham supply for £20. I have one fitted to my car. here Lava Orange Caterham Blackbird
  17. Martin Might be worth looking at this which has some fault finding on an amplified ignition systems, although no mention of CEI systems. Nick Lava Orange Caterham Blackbird
  18. I have used ATE Super Blue and it seemed OK. Lava Orange Caterham Blackbird
  19. , his handle is "Aeroscreens" Like the physics lesson though, wish I'd listened more at school 😬 Nick Lava Orange Caterham Blackbird
  20. Look for one on Ebay, there are normally BMW wheels available for a fraction of the price of a new one. Nick Lava Orange Caterham Blackbird
  21. I have Hi Spec front brakes and have not had any issues with them. They are fitted to the RS Performance Levante so they obviously think they are OK stopping a V8 powered car. I have non vented standard Caterham disks as I wanted to keep the unsprung weight down, what with a 2.5KG weight saving for each caliper, compared to the cast iron originals, this helps the suspension move more freely. You are just down the road from Hi Spec and if you deal over the counter with them you should be fine. If you want to spend double the money then buy the Caterham ones, or alternatively talk to Rallydesign down near Faversham about Wilwoods, which also seem good value. 22. Would have thought that depending on the age of the tyres they would be OK until there is no tread left? I would have thought that if the rubber is still good then less tread on a dry day would give good traction and there would be less tread block movement? Nick Lava Orange Caterham Blackbird
  23. John I cannot remember mine showing a low fuel indication other than the amber light. Nick Lava Orange Caterham Blackbird
