  3. After fitting one of the Radtec race rads I now have a standard Caterham Ali Rad going spare. Only 18 months old. £100 ono. It is in Sussex but can be taken to Bristol as I work there during the week. Mellow Yellow Vauxhall - I don't think so!!!
  4. Just spotted on rallyusedparts.co.uk £400 with 2.01 first gear. This is not mine but thought someone might be interested. Mellow Yellow Vauxhall - I don't think so!!!
  5. 80 degrees is not that high, most cars have that as their normal running temp. If the fan is cutting in about this temp you have either got a fan switch with a low switching temp or your guage/sendor is U/S. What temp did the car run at before you noticed the problem? Mellow Yellow Vauxhall - I don't think so!!!
  6. If you can find a set of second hand doors you can get them cut down to form half doors. Mellow Yellow Vauxhall - I don't think so!!!
  7. Anthony Have you checked www.racecar.co.uk Seem to recall seeing a few for sale including one that had been ported with larger valves. It was about a month ago but if you do a search something should come up. Regards Nick Mellow Yellow Vauxhall - I don't think so!!!
  8. Pinky YHM. This also pushes the add to the top. Somebody must be slightly interested in upgrading their HPC Nick Mellow Yellow Vauxhall - I don't think so!!!
  9. To go with my injection upgrade. Nick Mellow Yellow Vauxhall - I don't think so!!!

  11. Ever wanted a bit more power from your standard injection Vauxhall without major expensive changes. How about a programmable chip and Ram-air filter. I have said upgrade for sale, ready mapped for a Vauxhall Caterham for a mere £230. Thats about half price and no need to mess around with rolling road sessions, it's already been done. Would work very well with a performance exhaust, giving about 15% improvement in both power and torque. Nick Mellow Yellow Vauxhall - I don't think so!!!

  13. Quote: "including a new bonnet wich is a VX one, with holes for carbs air filter" : unquote
  14. Stephane To use the other bonnet you would need to change to carbs or throttle-bodies to get the JPE look. The standard system uses a Rover air filter housing fixed in front of the heater and breathing through a small hole down to the tunnel above the gearbox. If you are interested I also have a Ram-Air filter and pipe that was fitted to a VXi. When used with a Programmable chip( also available ) and a performance exhaust( not available ) I got a 15% increase in power and torque. The chip is already mapped for a Vx powered Caterham so would not need setting up. If interested e-mail me. Regards Nick
  15. David Try checking with Westfield, they may have a different bellhousing to suit the T9 gearbox. I think they use the later MT75 gearbox now so the bellhousing may be for that. Alternatively give Phil Stewart a ring at Road and Race Transmissions on 01959 525105. He is very helpful and might be able to help you out. Nick
  16. After various upgrades over the past couple of years, the following bits are surplus to requirements:- T9 gearbox - only done 28000 miles £150 86mm Acralite Flat Top Pistons £150 Pair of Black Willans 4-Point Harnesses (push button buckle) £60 Pipercross Ram-air filter and adapter pipe (fits standard injection system) £30 Superchips chip (with Ram-air filter gives Caterham quoted power!!) £200 Regards Nick
  17. Phil, Speak to Caterham Parts, they have a restrictor that goes in the small pipe to the top of the header tank. It worked on a friend's car and he was having the same problem. Nick
  18. Eddie, Thanks for the offer but have managed to get hold of some locally. Regards Nick

  23. Mike Ignition switch does need to be 40 amps. Starter circuit is usually 16 amps on its own. Suggest using switch on page 175 of DT's catalogue, item 3, with a starter button. Nick
  24. Had similar problem after a complete rebuild over the winter.Left the Vecta in with the ignition on and went away for a cup of coffee. When we came back all was OK. We might have been lucky but it is probably worth a try.
  25. Why not put some of your stuff on the lorry, saves carrying all that excess weight in the car, makes for a quicker journey down!! Nick
