  1. Good to see so many of us not following the herd with computers either 😬
  2. Any tips on internal cleaning of solenoid - like, how does it come apart?
  3. Thanks - I'll check that out. I was assuming a dirty solenoid.
  4. Thanks Barry. Battery has plenty of power - it's new and fully charged. Not obvious how the solenoid comes apart!
  5. Lots of posts about K series 'click of death' but is it the same starter as used on a 2.0l Vauxhall? If I turn the key it sometimes starts, sometimes takes five or six goes with just a click before it eventually turns. New battery hasn't cured it (old one needed replacing anyway!) Is it possible to take the solenoid apart? Is there anything else that could be cleaned?
  6. Thanks guys - two recommendations for Nitrons. I will look into it but (forgive my laziness!) what about springs or are they sold as a 'kit'?
  7. I'll take that as a no then ☹️
  8. Not a Seven but a covered trailer bearing the club logo!
  9. Followed threads on here - they all seem to end up at Powervamp. Mine arrives Monday
  10. I have a '92 2.0l Vauxhall HPC and as all four dampers are the originals as are rear springs. The front springs only a little newer - uprated to cope with heavy lumps in engine bay and driver's seat. I'm guessing that after 15 years they will no longer be performing as they should. What's the current recommendation? Mix of road and track day fun. Someone will no doubt suggest going wide track - or perhaps not?

  12. Heard you coming and peered out of the hedge I was cutting just in time to catch a brief glimpse. Dark colour (black?) and registration ??? BRM or DRM?
  13. Is the Autocom bluetooth enabled? For what it's worth when I fitted my unit I wired it in to an ignition fed live feed. It picked up a lot of static & interference from the car's electrics. Disconnected it and run it from a Duracell - lasts for ages and no noise. Mick Burrell AO West Hants West Hants Web Site
