  1. Woohoo - Car is back on the road after a "mini" winter strip down that ended up taking rather lomger than expected (don't all "quick" jobs). Got cold and wet on the motorway. Drowned Rat Racing is Back 😬 Michael.

  11. Unfortunately, the JW cast sumps are like the proverbial hen's teeth and went out of production a few years back. The last one I saw sold for several hundred pounds... Great bit of kit if you can get excited by sumps! MC
  12. Thanks both - have pumped up and down but to no avail. Short of oil soungs plausible - silly question, assume it is "hydraulic oil" - where do I get that from? Thanks - Michael.
  13. I borrowed a friend's dad's engine crane to get H5 URF's engine out, but unfortunately, it is not working properly. Symptoms are that it will only pump half way up, then won't go any higher. I suspect that it needs to be topped up with fluid, or possibly have a defective seal somewhere. Does anyone have any experience of servicing these? Thanks - Michael.
  14. Who needs more than 8 valves anyway 🤔 Michael.
  15. Southern Carbs in Wimbledon would be the local experts I am aware of. here Regards, Michael.
  16. Malcolm - My measured back-depth on my existing 8 spokes which I provided was 113mm but I hope to receive the new MBs tomorrow and will take dimensions then. Mike is very knowledgeable and worth chatting with too... Michael.

    Titan LSD

I dropped my gearbox off at R&R this afternoon for a bit of attention. Phil took great pleasure in showing me the Titann LSD. Certainly looked like a beautifully designed piece of kit. Then he tried to explain how it worked and my brain exploded Michael.
  18. Only available from Caterham Midlands and then, only officially to Caterham racers. Might be time for some sweet talking! Michael.

  21. Depends on what your definition of "good" is For something a little different how about here or even here See you next week Michael.
  22. Can I make the leap of faith in that case that they would accept that a mechanical fuel pump (yes, some of of XFLOW luddites still run these) - is driven from the engine and is therefore directly controlled from the ignition? Michael.
  23. Does anyone know if these are the same as for the standard FIA bar? Regards, Michael.
  24. Does anyone have the size of the bolt that goes through the alternator strap into a Xflow block please. I've lost one and need to buy a replacement. Thanks! Michael.
