  1. Hi Roger - hope you and Barbara are well - I take if from your location that the move to France has happened successfully? Anyway, I believe that (many) early chassis did not have the mounting points for a rear ARB - my 1991 chassis certainly did not. It's something that Arch offered me to fit, as did James Whiting. I never bothered because I find the car set up fine without one. All the best - Michael.
  2. I know Shaun has done a lot of investigation into this and can give you chapter and verse. I think he's away this w/e though... Michael.
  3. Yes, you can loosen the clamp between the uppen and lower steering colums to adjust the reach. Just make sure you so the clamp up properly afterwards (plenty of posts on the subject, from memory the advice is to tighten down the central grub screw and lock with the nut before doing up the two outside bolts.) Michael.
  4. I may well have one for sale in a couple of weeks and I know someone else who will probably be selling theirs. However they are both from S3 cars and I do 't know if it would fit. I fear not? Blatmail me if you want to discuss! Michael.
  5. Sorry Simon, you were just beaten to it Thanks anyway Michael.
  6. Potentially spoken for Michael
  7. Very good condition, black, zipped in 2, for std De Dion car. No tillet ears or cut-out for Petty Strut. £60 Michael.
  8. Linked to here Michael.
  9. Mike - If Carl does not go for this, I would be interested - let me know Michael.
  10. Hi Jonathan I did exactly the same on ny 91 XFlow a few years ago. The conversion to rivnuts makes a great difference when you want to do work under the scuttle and it is something I am very glad I did. I believe the the "large" rivets that you are talking about on either side do not exist on the more recent chassis. I drilled this out and fitted rivnuts and then large (tarty anodised!) wide, flat head bolts (I'm sure there is a proper name for them) which I got from the Demon Tweeks catalogue. I'll admit that I was worried at the size of hole that it took in the chassis (through a braze where three chassis members meet) in case it weakened the chassis. However, I ran the car like that for about three years of sprints and trackdays without any problem. I then had the car stripped right back by Arch and the holes welded up as the newer type bodywork does without any rivets at this point. All the best - Michael.
  11. Sorry to hear that Martin but hope you have a great summer! Hope to see you at Curbs. Michael.
  12. Geoff - is Castle Coombe now full? Thanks Michael.
  13. Yup - dual drives are absolutely fine. Tam (my Wife) and I have been sharing the car for a few years until the arrival of our son this year. The only down side is you have the pressure of two people in the same car, so nowhere to hide if the other person is quicker than you 😬 Yes, you both have to pay your own individual entry fees and of course each need their own non-race B license and race suit/helmet/gloves etc Hope to see you on track next year! Michael.
  14. What Chris says is key, and I've just gone through this when I ordered a set from Luke. Just make sure you say that I you want a SET from them (one left and one right handed) - last time I orderd harnesses from a distributor (DT) they sent me 2 that adjusted from the same side, then had to pay Luke to adjust them. I also ordered with lightweight adjusters which I feel are easier to use and also reduce weight a bit. Michael.
  15. Skip - treat yourself to a day out at the Autosport Show at the NEC in Jan - Demon Tweeks and other suppliers will be there and you can try plenty on, (and there are often offers available). Michael.
  16. Please Mister - can I have one Michael.
  17. here If anyone wants a full resolution copy of any of the photos, please just drop me a mail. For those who were not there, I'll let you reach your own opinion re what was going on in some of the photos A great event, and fantastic to see so many people there. Glad to see that the golden trowel has gone to a caring new home 😬 Michael.
  18. here And before anyone points it out, I know a few photos from previous years snuck in Great to see everyone today. Roll on April... Michael.
  19. Guy - Yes please YHM.. Michael.
  20. Thanks to all for your help. Mark- an especially helpful offer. Shaun will contact you if you don't mind as we both need one of these :-) Michael.
  21. When my hub broke earlier in the year, it took out my Stack Speedo Sensor and mounting bracket. I seem to remember that there was an alternative (read cheaper) replacement for the sensor than the £110 that Demon Tweaks want, and £130 that CC want, for the sensor. However a search here did not come up with any leads - any pointers please? Thanks, Michael.
