    Anglesey Photos

Hi - if anyone has any photos from the Anglesey sprints, could you send me a few ASAP please?
  7. Well done Jeremy. A well deserved win after some great performances! Looking forward to seeing everyone at the awards dinner.
  8. Photo Competition - Club Calendar 2018 Time is running out to submit photos for consideration for our 2018 Club calendar which will be sent out to all members with December’s Lowflying. We are looking to feature members’ own photos to illustrate each month. Not only is this your chance to have your photographs immortalised in print, and hanging on members’ walls around the world, but those whose shots get selected for use will be rewarded with prizes selected from the Club’s regalia range. We always receive a fantastic range of photographs for the calendar, and we are once again going to retain the general theme for the photo competition as “Lotus 7 Club Life”. This could include themes of touring, Club events, track days, cars – the only real limit is your imagination. With many events marking 60 years of our favourite car, there should be plenty of opportunities to capture great shots too… A short caption for each picture submitted would be appreciated, as any photo not used on the calendar may well be chosen to appear in Lowflying at a later date. PLEASE NOTE: Because of the calendar’s layout, pictures will need to be in landscape format. Please also make sure that files are of a high enough resolution to allow good quality reproduction. Please send entries to lowflying@lotus7.club with a single picture and caption per email. A maximum of five pictures is allowed per person and membership number. Please mark all entries with the subject title “Club Calendar 2018 Photo Competition”. Submissions should include your name, phone number and Club membership number. 12 entries will be selected for the calendar, and the following prizes will be on offer: 1st Prize of a Lotus 7 Club Micro Fleece Jacket 2nd Prize of a Lotus 7 Club polo shirt (men’s or ladies’) The remaining selected entrants will receive a t-shirt from the Club’s regalia range. See Lowflying for full Terms and Conditions of entry.

  13. So when the engine suddenly lost power and started sounding like a bag of nails, I shut it straight down and feared the (expensive) worst. Having checked for obvous problems this morning, I couldn't find much amiss. Wet on the inside, dry on the outside, and the compression readings looked OK. I started her up for a few seconds - she ran, but sounded awful. Dave Gemzoe was kind enough to come around, and using his considerable engine building experience, set about looking for evidence of what the problem might be. Again, nothing obvious, so we tried to fire her up again. Outcome - one exhaust primary which had come loose, and nothing more Many, many thanks to Dave for having given up his time so freely. This fix was trivial, but the amount of engineering knowledge in Dave's head is astounding! So, a good end to a good weekend. Fantastic banter and competition in Class 3 as always. Particular congrats. to Danny Malkin and Jeff Smith for two spectacular runs!

  17. Appreciate your car is SORN'd, but surely the best approach is to arrange to trailer it to a rolling road and to get it looked at professionally (fellow Xflow owner speaking here!) Happy to loan you my trailer if it helps? Based near Maidenhead, so not that close, but backup if there isn't anyone nearer? Good luck!

  21. Urgent Request – Volunteers needed to help the running of our 60th Anniversary celebrations! The success of an event like this inevitably depends on a significant number of volunteers. Whilst we have been encouraging local area groups to sign up for different activities over the weekend, we also welcome help from any members who will be present. Main support needed includes marshalling the driving events and helping with registration and parking. It needn’t be onerous – we are looking to book volunteers from just 2hr slots over the weekend – it’s also a great way to meet other members and generally great fun! If you are able to help out, please email 60th@lotus7.club
  22. Does anyone have any photos from these events that they would be willing to share please? Cheers,
