  1. Del - how nice to hear from you dear boy! I certainly shall be doing my bit at Curby on Sunday (as well as Loton on Saturday). Does this enquiry mean that we'll be seeing you in the mud wrestling bath that has passed for the paddock this year? The word 'dog' never bit anybody...........
  2. Glad the boys enjoyed their day. It's great to see such total, unbounded enthusiasm. One small note of discord though - couldn't they have slowed Steve down a bit more? It's all very well waving like mad when we're on our way back down the hill, but you're really going to have to train them to wave harder when Steve is going up the hill. After all, at my age and in my condition, I need all the help (fair or not) that I can get.................... Next weekend is Loton Park, so how about treating them to another great hill? I'm there on Saturday, single handedly upholding the honour of 7's in a field of Westies while Steve should be there on Sunday (with Ken Evens & Tim Cross?). TTFN Lindsay The word 'dog' never bit anybody...........
  3. Correct! Wanna come? I can probably squeezea little'un in. Mail me offline if you want details, I'll be back after lunch. TTFN The word 'dog' never bit anybody...........
  4. Greetings Young Ross. How's the fair city o' Dundy? Haven't been out to play recently as setting up my new business has been a 24/7 experience for the last 6 months ☹️. However, it's now cash positive so I can take the odd day off (bearing in mind that any day that I take off is odd). Lucy is off through the snow to CML this morning to get her new flat bottom flat floor checked and then hits the track with her kennel mate next Friday. I can't wait. WooHoo! The word 'dog' never bit anybody...........
  5. Tickets for the Hunt Ball............ Is that a dance or a raffle? The word 'dog' never bit anybody...........
  6. Class 3 eh? That's competitive! Life was a lot quieter in Class 4 I'm not doing many L7CGB events this year (clashing dates), but when you do see Lucy remember to compliment her on the nose job Going to bed now - 05.00 start in the morn. ☹️ YUK! A bientot mon brave. BTW - when did you last hear a date clash? The word 'dog' never bit anybody...........
  7. Good Day Delbert Old Chap! What retirement? I survived until September when I could no longer resist the flood of people asking for my help. So I formed a new company and started renting myself out. I'm quite pricey by the hour, less so overnight and a positive bargain for the week. However, I now have the problem of what to do with all the spare loot I've treated Lucy to an over winter primp and some plastic surgery, bought a Racebox to keep her warm and dry on cold wet mornings and a Black Radical to keep her company in the kennel. But still she doesn't look happy - Women! Is ZeNA coming out to play with the 2b-lings at Curby? YOU'd be very welcome to come as well . Steve Marsh is threateneing to do a few more rounds this year, so if you turn up we could well have the largest gathering of competing SV's in the WORLD TTFN - SWMBO has made a pot of tea and requires my assistance to drink it..................... The word 'dog' never bit anybody...........
  8. Whose? Delberts? Sadly, he hasn't been using my service recently ☹️ But the last that I heard, the line bore, ream and hand hone had freed things up for him 😳 The word 'dog' never bit anybody...........
  9. I assume that you've considered and rejected the obvious solution........................ Phone QED and ask them If you can ID the engine they may even be able to give you its dyno figures and then you'll know for definite. The boys in Quorn quote around 175 lb/ft @ 6,500 and 235+ @ 7,300 for this sort of engine BUT they do tend to be conservative in their promises. The last engine that they did for me (1800 K) was promised to deliver around 210bhp and 140 + lb/ft peak torque with a broad spread. What they delivered was 229bhp @ 8,500 with 156lb/ft peak torque @ 6000 a very flat torque curve that goes through 130lb/ft (std R300 peak) at 3,800 and stays above that level right up to 9,000 😬 WOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOO The word 'dog' never bit anybody...........
  10. A tasteless fellow Curborough competitor (well he's got a W*stfi*ld) has asked me to let all in 7 land know that the Lotus Drivers Club are having their inaugural sprint on Sat 13th August, it is a double lapper at Curborough and they are struggling for entries and it would be a shame if they had to cancel it! So, if you're in the area and want some practice for the Club events at the end of August this might suit you. I'm going if that doesn't turn you off<img class='"smiley"' alt='"eek' src='"images/smilies/eek.gif"' smiley"="" data-cke-saved-src=""> The regs are available from: Mike Stripe 18 Glosters Road Kineton Warcs CV35 0LT Tel: 01926 642251 The regs are also available from here http://www.lotusdriversclub.org/LDCSPRINT05SRs.pdf The word 'dog' never bit anybody...........
