  1. Strangely took quite a few washes before Liz found the aroma acceptable. Did the bellhousing as well some time before & that left no after aroma.
  2. I put mine in the dishwasher upside down. Came out nice & clean but made the dishwasher smell 🙆🏻
  3. Tim Brise at here has an unused engine for sale. He also has 2 unused K series exhausts: a long primary 4 into 1 plus a short primary 4 into 1. Edited to say: I'm not too sure whether he has the silencer as all I saw were the headers. tel: 01322 277622 Please don't contact me as I can't supply any more details suffice to say I've seen the items & they look OK. 4. Angus Jill Judd is refurbishing my leather tunnel top as we speak. The leather's still in pretty good condition but the gear gaiter needs replacing. She's also restuffing my seats. By the way the piping & gaiter are vinyl, not leather, as vinyl's much harder wearing. Mick
  5. For what they are the Millwood protectors are pretty good however after 2 years use they have chipped along the bottom edge. They wrap around the wing & also cover right to the bottom of the wing. The fit is good & I fitted them with 4 ally M5 bolts here (bottom of page) from VWP. However as they are constantly peppered with road dirt etc they take on a certain patina. I'm not too sure what carbon process is used in the manufacture & there are probably better more durable finishes around. The Millwood ones are £106 delivered wheras RiF ones are £66 delivered. Incidentally I bought the Millwood ones as one of my wings was a little damaged & the wrap around design helped hide it.
  6. What's the concensus of opinion? At present I have Millwoods wrap around carbon protectors but these have become a little shot blasted. My gut feeling with the new painted fibreglass wings is to use Armourfend initially then re-fit the Millwood protectors a few years later when they've developed a patina to match. 7. Bought from George Polley March 2004, little used. De-dion Se7en. 5 x 6x13 wheels with 185/70/13 AO21's, all kept in a garage & out of the sun. Spare never used: 5mm tread. Rears: 4.5 mm tread Fronts 5mm tread Wheels are unmarked & as new. £450.00 the set, buyer collects.
  8. I washed mine & they shrunk
  9. Steve I'm in the same queue at CC. Could you let me have the Rover 220 Turbo part number as well. Mick
  10. Myles Had a look at your photos. Have you fitted the extensions to the track rods? It doesn't look as though you have. This might explain why the bolt head fouls the damper; too much toe-in. Edited by - Mick Day on 1 Feb 2006 22:54:39
  11. Steve Greenald in Ilford for all things GEMS: 07774-773824 steve@greenald.freeserve.co.uk.
  12. I have a black guard, unused & still in it's wrapper, for an SLR (R400) exhaust.
  13. Thanks Dave I thought you might. Not too sure what a complete engine rebuild gasket set involves but hopefully you'll have them for my engine. By the way Scholar should be delivering to you by the end of the week or so. Mick
  14. That was my next port of call, just wondered if anyone else had managed to get them.
  15. I want to replace them on a K series: has anyone managed to buy these as separate items? CC says not listed
  16. Or you could tap into the frame & fit with plastic number plate bolts.
  17. Why didn't I think of that? I thought maybe you just gave the switch a hefty wallop 😬
  18. Dave How does your "thrown belt" warning system work? Mick
  19. Dave, How do you turn it off manually then?

    Bonnet

Bonnet from my 1994 K series in Jaguar green. Good condition. £50.00, buyer collects.
  22. I asked CC about this & they said it fits inside the crankcase to prevent catastrophic loss of OP during L hand bends. It fits up to the oil rail & stops oil leakage. Well it's nearly April 1st 😬
