  1. Thanks Chris. I think I'll just tape it up under the dash & use the voltmeter to check on charging.
  2. Ah.... good thinking Johnty Forgot there would need to be a resister in the circuit; so might as well just leave the bulb in the circuit behind the dash.
  3. I'm re-doing my dashboard & want to have as few dashboard distractions as possible. I'll be fitting dual SPA gauges, one of which is a voltmeter; so what use is an alternator warning light? If I delete this light & join the wires together will this be OK?
  4. Myles I notice on your site that you have a cambelt cover "in development". Is this now available? Mick
  5. Kev I think the difference will be to the engine mount/pump bracket as this will be different for standard & SV installations. Mick
  6. Backplate looks similar to the ITG version; any idea if the ITG & Piper backplate are the same size?
  7. Hi Kev I have a standard chassis. However I've ordered direct with Neil so maybe you don't need the info. email me if necessary. Mick Edited by - Mick Day on 27 Feb 2006 23:11:42
  8. For a drinks dispenser get one of those camel packs & site it behind the seat. On really hot days put it in the fridge overnight. As I have aero's I used to keep spare oil in the washer bottle whilst touring. I did wonder whether the pump would cope with the viscosity as I could then pump it straight into the engine. In the end I removed the pump & araldited a bung in the hole.
  9. Mike I've got 5 x 13 x 6 as new Minator wheels shod with 185x70x13 AO21's. Hardly used & kept in a dark garage out of the sun. Fronts & spare have 5mm tread left & the rears have 4.5mm. The spare has never been used. Mick

  11. Ohhhh....... but I've still got to take the engine out to re-fit it. It's a gamble really isn't it so i suppose it's best to fit the new one.
  12. I have an old type INA CRB fitted in May 2002. Engine & Gearbox now out for rebuild. I have a new SKF CRB available but the old CRB from Germany seems fine, not had any noises etc whilst in use. So should I use the original or change to the SKF as a matter of course? 13,000 miles use in the last 4 years.

  21. Andy That's not a bad idea, Brise will do anything you ask, just give them a drawing. I don't think the cost would be that much different from mine, £287.88 inc VAT, as each one is a one off; they just need the drawing 1st. Mick
  22. Oh yes forgot to add: there's a Caterham bell housing available as well.
