  1. Cibie 7" headlamps are available from CC.
  2. Did you like watching your primaries glowing cherry red? Mine looked almost translucent at one stage.
  3. Brise nade the kidney tanks to data supplied by Pace.......& a few others. Edited by - Mick Day on 30 Jul 2006 19:38:40
  4. Steve, you couldn't have said it better . That's why I would recommend Steve & Steve at Track 'n Road.
  5. Just to confuse issues, Brise supply both versions of the Magnetron. Now who makes the "Brise" starter or is it another Magnetron version? Edited by - Mick Day on 28 Jul 2006 11:54:37
  6. Steve & Steve . They won't let you go until you drive it & come back with a *cool*on your face.
  7. I live in Horsham but I'd still make the 100 mile round trip to Steve.
  8. My Wipac lenses used to regularly fall off so I taped over the units with some insulating tape. Never had a problem with MOT's.
  9. The biggest problem with this is that the bottle has to be manouvered within the very tight confines of the footwell & it's all to easy to spill it onto one's expensive wilton carpets. Much safer to do it from the engine compartment.
  10. Angus You may have seen our intercom as modified by Headset Services in Shoreham here. They supplied everything even down to mounting the mic's onto protective glasses. Mick
  11. Extra outlet is to plumb direct to expansion bottle/header tank.
  12. Steve Greenald at Road n Track: 07774-773824. Basically just off the M25 at the north side of the Dartford Crossing. He can map upwards of 15 or so different ECU's including MBE & Emerald. No real benefits swapping to an Emerald; if the MBE is electronically OK stay with it.
  13. I did this to empty the tank & it eventually runs out of fuel & goes glug glug.
  14. Angus What's changed from before to after the rebuild? Was the engine rebuilt as well? You have a new loom as well so I'd check the earths 1st (ensure bright metal to metal contact) & all the connections to the gauges with a meter. Is there a voltage regulater for the gauges? The next thing of course would be new senders & maybe a new thermostat if this isn't opening correctly. Hope this helps. Mick Edited by - Mick Day on 25 Jul 2006 10:08:36
  15. Lifting frame is purchasable from Hellier here (bottom of page). I would assume CC have suitable lifting eyes available as well. I've always split the box & engine in situ. 2 ratchet straps around the engine works well for me when lifting.
  16. Phil I had 2 which did the same (not bought from Think but they sell the same models). So I bought an adjustable one from Think which again started to stick so ended up disconnecting it. A bit of a pain in the neck. Is it a case of TADTS? Mick

    VIN plate?

Take the pedal box cover off: VIN number is stamped on pedal box.
  18. Your VDO senders are 1/8 NPT thread. Give Think a ring & ask for the relevant converters.
  19. There should be a dowty washer between drain plug & tank.
  20. Kev Just had a thought . A few years ago I had a duff set of plugs which started misfiring at 6000 rpm, once changed everything was fine. Another thing to check is that your plug leads are in good order & they're well connected to the coil & plugs. Engines going fine & you're welcome to a ride anytime. Mick
  21. Kevin Glad to hear the engines up & running. Sorry I can't help on the rev limiter isssue. Mick
  22. Shaun Sorry to hear of your problem. My only experience of a seized engine started with low OP & then a lower idle speed as the engine "tightened up". When it was stripped one big end bearing shell had managed to destroy itself completely. Needed new rods & crank & I was lucky not to destroy the engine case. Not a K series I hasten to add.
  23. I removed mine by putting an axel stand under the allen key (7/32) & lowering the car. Worked a treat as they hadn't been touched in 6 years. Refitted with plenty of copper slip & plan on replacing annually.
  24. A length of hose & a funnell works just as well.
