  1. What's the betting if I put the diff back in the car (came out to refurb the propshaft, and thought I'd leave it out as LSD coming) ZF will get their supplies going, but if I wait...... 🤔 Malcolm
  2. Bob I guess form your comment on the other Diff/LSD thread we in for a bit of a wait ❗ Malcolm
  3. Bozz I ground away a slot in the top of the bracket to clear the pipes. I don't think it is a good idea to leave the pipes resting on the bracket. Malcolm
  4. Dave Except that my car is a K......I give you a ring today to explain! Malcolm
  5. Anybody in this area able to fix/recommend a specialist for a dead fuel injection 2 litre Zetec conversion? I suspect an ECU problem.....but I know nothing about these. Malcolm
  6. Thank you for all the offers of help, Dave Foxy,Pooh and Chaos . Grant, thanyou and YHM! Malcolm
  7. Grant Thank you. YHM Pooh R Thank you for your offer. I think I'll buy one thro' Grant. Malcolm
  8. Anybody in North Wales/Wirral/Manchester/Cheshire/Salop have a rivnut tool I can borrow? Malcolm
  9. Is the CC belltank the same for the K and VX? (presumably with an adapter)? Malcolm
  10. I had mine re-cored about 2 years ago, cost about £90 (Serck services). However, a header tank seam keeps spliting each track day i do, and they keep resoldering it for free.....got fed up and bought a new standard one from CC for £156 + VAT. Aluminium core, but nasty crimped on plastic headers. Malcolm Edited by - Englishmaninwales on 23 Jan 2006 12:37:13 Edited by - Englishmaninwales on 23 Jan 2006 12:37:41
  11. Cut the old ones off and just use plenty of washing liquid and brute force. Malcolm
  12. Charlie I have also spoken at length to Phil at R and R, and like Grant I have no doubt that he's the person to set up the the ZF LSD for the seven (he does them for CC), and his charge is reasonable. Generally, he finds the diff bearings can be reused, so this is a potential saving. Interestingly, he felt that the Quaife unit was not suited to the seven at all . He and CC have been fitting the ZF unit in sevens for a long time. Malcolm
  13. Well I ' m really glad I didn't win a recent eBay auction for a brand new nose cone.....it wouldn't have fitted my old car 😳 Malcolm
  14. Dave Time you fitted aeroscreens....... 😬 Malcolm
  15. Nifty speak to Road and Race. They will install the LSD in your diff with all the appropiate adjustments to suit a seven, check and replace bearings and seals. 01959525105 Malcolm Edited to say Caterham's price is £600+vat+postage. although they did offer Grant 10% (?) off for 10+ orders. 16. I retained the original 1400 FPR and all seems to work fine.....should I be changing it to the 4 bar type Malcolm
  17. Mike as indicated above, please include me. I have emailed you. Malcolm
  18. That gives me the incentive to get the collection of bits off the garage floor and back onto the car.....depending on the ZF LSD bulk buy! Malcolm
  19. Nah, Tony. More like measure 15 times, cut once.......I'm not sure about "constrictively panicking,'' but more like a good test of ''sphincter tone'' Malcolm
