  4. Remember the ancient Chinese proverb. "Measure twice, cut once" More like measure 10 times......cut once, in my case! Mark, This is actually very straight forward as indicated above Malcolm
  5. I'm considering a secondhand gearbox (ex CC) suitable for BGH type gear ratio upgrade. Are there variations of this gearbox, and what part number/ markings should I be looking for?

  9. Stu My mistake.....should be distal 😳 😳 (when looking from gearbox ) Malcolm
  10. Gareth It is located in the centre of the crankshaft at the flywheel end.It supports the distal end of the gearbox first motion (i.e. input) shaft. There will be a speed difference between the crankshaft and the FMS in neutral and during gearshift. Malcolm Edited by - Englishmaninwales on 8 May 2006 15:33:47
  11. Mav my spigot sleeve was not a tight fit, just lightly tapped in with bearing lock Malcolm
  12. Mav same comment as Stu with regard to the weeping oil after removing the flywheel. Don't go removing the crank seal unless the leak is from the seal itself. I got my spigot sleeve and bearing to suit 1800 crank/5 speed gearbox from QED tel 01509412317 part no 506083 and 106080 respectively total £17 + vat (2003 prices) Malcolm

  14. I would be interested in the dry sump pan if you are willing to split, (if CC rather than Pace) Malcolm
  15. Ric Rear ARB (over the top of the diff variety) - in the softest setting the top of the drop link can rub on the adjacent area of the chassis. Malcolm
  16. 1994 deDion - mounts in line with chassis rail Malcolm
  17. Dave see http://www.blatchat.com/T.asp?id=100293 or I can lend you my joint splitter, but this will damage the rubber boot. Malcolm
  18. size 10 or 12 (not for me!) Malcolm
  19. Richard Looks like after all you will have to pay the enviromental disposal charge for these..... *arrowup*BTTT
