  3. Steve BGH provide alternative gear ratios for the 5 speed, on exchange. Various ratio sets are available with a long 1st e.g. 2.66 1.75 1.26 1.0 0.84. For the effort in changing, I'd keep the 4 speed. Malcolm
  4. Ive just been able to get a g/b nose extension 2nd hand from Road and Race complete with new oil seal fro £30. Try them, half way down thread here

  17. Steve Yes it does matter, as you can end up with the timing 180 degrees out. Look at the diagram here scroll down to ''Fitting Verniers'' it shows the standard timing wheels in their correct position at 90 BTDC. Not quite sure what Myles is on about Malcolm

  20. Wheely I think Re720 may still be available in 185 60 14, should you wish to continue with 14" rims. I use these for touring and general road use giving slightly longer gearing, and I replaced one (sidewall puncture) last September. I think I got it from BMTR here. Malcolm
