  1. Neil I didn't know about the Emerald cut off if no crank sensor signal...... 😳 Malcolm
  2. The discs are the same as the front discs (unless uprated) and are of Triumph Spitfire origin from CC or Rimmer Bros here. You will probably need to replace the rear disc to hub bolts as they have a shallow head and are difficult to remove without damage. Malcolm
  3. Neil In the event of a big shunt you could end up with broken fuel lines and petrol at 4 bar pressure spraying over a hot engine........... ☹️ As mav says, resite it. Malcolm
  4. Brucey I refitted my 1400ss this year which I'm using in the L7C sprint series, so it's nice to know you're going to keep it so there is a spare in case it goes bang 😳 (abit cheeky I know). Back to 1800cc next year.
  5. I fitted T1-R to my 205GTI when I replaced my T1-S tyres ( and I wanted to stick with list 1A tyres for competition purposes). I did a trackday at Anglesey and found the level of grip was the same but the sidewalls are much more flexible and the n/s front really took a hammering.... malcolm
  6. Tony Did you get my mail about the wings? Malcolm
  7. Did that. Doesn't work. ☹️ In fact, made windage worse with an increase in noisy cam followers. Malcolm
  8. Thinforth and BYKerWill Bearings and carrier now off thanks to your advice Malcolm
  9. Willie Unfortunately, silicone gasket sealant has a nasty habit of breaking away from the inside of the joint and causing havoc by blocking oil galleries and the oil pick up. Malcolm
  10. Will How did you get the bearing carrier off? The bearing carrier and bearings will not come off the shaft ☹️
  11. Adrian, the previous pair of retaining nuts had a green insert, but those supplied by caterham a year ago had not, hence my difficulty. Dave, undone ok, but bearings have cooked/disintergrated and are not prepared to separate from the drive shaft, so will be looking for a press on Tuesday ☹️
  12. Which side is a left hand thread? Thanks
  13. You're probably better off selling the SS cams (£100) and wet sump (£100) and giving the engine away (if you can) ❗ Malcolm
  14. No good making excuses, Neil Matt I'm running Stunner Scudo 195 45 15 I may be winning the power stakes, but the VX 8v has bags of torque compared to my 1400 K. Come the hills, I'll be reaching for the gearbox quite a bit Malcolm
  15. Nice one, Jeff You seem to have plenty of grip compared to some of us 😳 Malcolm
  16. A big thank you to Colin and family for organising the event. Also it was great to see the paddock full again. Special congratulations to Jon Ward for a great class win in extremely tricky conditions Malcolm
  17. Willie I shall be able to do that tomorrow evening
  18. Ian yes the plug is open 😳, I will cap it thanks
  19. I have both if Mark is unable to find his Malcolm
