  3. Bruno Where abouts on the engine? A poorly sealed coolant outlet (if fixing bolts are too long) can look like a leak from the head/block joint. The coolant runs down to the joint and then along the engine to the front lefthand side. Malcolm
  4. Micheal Sorry to hear about the damage Judith is driving with me at Curbugger, but you're welcome at MIRA if you're car isn't fixed in time. Malcolm

  9. All the oil feed drillings on the exhaust side were either missing or only partly aligning with the oil groove in the follower (when in the closed position) on my cylinder head. As Dave explains, opening up the lower end with a dremel significantly improved, but did not completly cure it. The final cure was to eliminate air in the oil by fitting a drysump system. 10. Easiest way to drain the engine is to disconect the return heater/bypass hose at the heater end and lower this below the bottom of the engine. Be ready with your bowl! This will remove 95% of the coolant in the engine.

  14. Carb cleaner is a good solvent for removing the old cam carrier sealant. Be careful not to get bits of the old sealant dropping into the engine. With new camshafts linish the camfollowers (see Dave Andrew's website) and don't forget cam lube, Piper supply this.
