Trust you got back ok. Potentially an unpleasant front hub failure, resulting in no brakes heading into Fradley...... Hopefully, this is the end of your car failures this year.
Trust will be fixed before Loton.

Chris, I had 5 wins and 5 second places last year on stunners in class 1. Jon Ward also used them in the back half of last season and had 4 wins and 2 second places.

Jeff, sorry to hear this, but as you would have been quicker than me (that is up the hill as opposed to speed of your bowling) can you ask Mr Sankey to take up some cricket too?
Malcolm
Ive seen under the bonnet AND driven the car.......all I know is that someone had been fiddling with the injectors and the roller barrels . I must look at the times for Loton 2 years ago, I think I was 2 sec faster in the K7SLT than my car......... 😳
We're both very sad to see you are selling up. Many happy laughs in the paddock, lots of advice when we were starting sprinting and great competition
Do come and say hello

My experience with the 1400 with the earlier closed top block casting is that it's far harder to bleed compared to the later open top 1600/1800 block casting. You can identify the earlier block with a cross hatched stiffening pattern on the sides. I gave up and fitted a remote thermostat.
Post a wanted thread (on here rather than the general 'Wanted Section') as there may be some competitors with spare tickets. Otherwise pay on entry, around £10-15.

I was sure this was down to quality. My father's Lotus Cortina ran its original pump from 0 to 80 k miles over 15 years. The engine was rebuilt in 1980 and the pump was replaced as a precaution. It then suffered numerous failures until he got rid of the car in 1983. People blame the dynamo belt tension, but Im not so sure.

As RJ states, it's really down to the set up of the rest of the car; spring rates, rake, tyres, front ARB, camber etc and finally personal preference. In theory, softening the rear will reduce oversteer.
