  1. Resurrecting this thread..... has anybody fitted a CC post 2000 c/f dash to an earlier car? If so, what fettling is needed?
  2. Hello Paul Send them back to AVO, and for a modest fee they will refurbish and test them, quick turnabout usually week to 10 days. Malcolm
  3. Can anyone email me the forms/regs (or post a link) ? Thanks
  4. Stuart, Chris is correct....IME Brooklands give a much smoother (and adjustable) airflow compared to a 'normal' . Malcolm
  5. Stuart I have a set of Brooklands complete with mirrors you can try if you wish. Blatmail me. Malcolm
  6. There is some info in the archives about this. I think requires some rewiring. But keeping the (larger 56mm)1400 TB, plenum, engine loom, ECU, flywheel is simple, just need to get an answer about the injectors. My setup (1800ss) with cream injectors passes the MOT emissions too.
  7. , Yes Yes Not sure.... You will need to use the 1400 induction system if stepper motor type. Replace the CRB. Edited to add that if using the cast forward facing SS induction system you will need to dispense with the front manifold support to allow fitment of the scavenge pump. I also removed the boss for the manifold support on the underside of the front runner to allow an easier route for the scavenge return pipe to DS tower. 8. Just to complicate things, the tyre regs seem to have changed for Roadgoing Production Cars/Specialist Production Cars now allowing list 1A or 1B, (see (S) 11.6.2). Probably will be down to local intrepretation.
  9. Paul I have a long 4 into 1 surplus to requirements....... Malcolm 07774634924
  10. Had my differential in and out loads of times. Much easier to manage the spacers if you hang the diff by the top bolt and then fit the lowers, and as mentioned above using a trolley jack to give you the final alignment for the bottom bolts. Easier with the boot floor out.
  11. Rob, your tree visiting moment at Llys r Fran (and Simon's off at Wiscombe) convinced me of the need for a cage
  12. Thanks, I knew I needed a new one I was just enquiring if the was an easy off the shelf purchase eg from R500/SLR that will fit. But it looks like a bespoke cover fom Oxted or Jill Judd. Edited by - Englishmaninwales on 28 Feb 2010 10:44:08
  13. As a follow on from this thread here what type of boot cover do I need for a 94 car with a SLR cage without hoodsticks? The rear supports on the cage pass through the cover further forward than on the late type FIA roll over bar currently fitted. Thanks
  14. Judith and I will also not be playing this year ☹️ except possibly a couple of rounds at the end of the season. We are forming 'Team Chav Racing' 😳 and supporting Alastair and Alex's assault on the Loton Park Championship in their Pug 205 GTi. The 7 is undergoing a full chassis up rebuild which will occupy much time this year, and may be ready at the end of the summer. We will be out and about at some of the events to spectate and of course we plan to be at Loton on 14/15 August. Have an enjoyable season, and to those in class 3 please make sure that a certain migrant from class 2 doesn't find those 100 points too easy 😬 Malcolm and Judith
