  3. One time was on a sprint and the next competitor had to take to the grass at 100mph to avoid me I witnessed this episode from the pit wall and I removed my inertia switch the following week
  4. Thanks for replies. Im looking for a low mileage complete engine, preferably original CC supplied. But ancillaries/induction not needed
  5. Low mileage 1400 ss complete engine (ancillaries not required).
  6. Hi Chris - I'll be at Emerald in 2 weeks looking for that 190 target too! 😬 Malcolm
  7. Just looked at the Entry Form which asks for your... "Christian Name" Good. All this 'given name' boll@cks! 😔
  8. Matt Judith and I hope to see Mark (and you as I know you are travelling up too) at Anglesey Malcolm Edited by - Englishmaninwales on 9 Feb 2012 00:18:43
  9. I reckon flat is over 90mph in class 3 and over 100mph in class 4 and 5. No data but looking at my rev counter, with a lift, I went through it at 85mph. There is no run off and no margin I dont think coming off at 85 would have been any less damaging than 90mph, so next time there is no point being chicken (shudder)
  10. Richard You don't need any data to look at. Just dont lift at the kink and remember to turn right at the wall of death and you'll both be fine.
  11. Hi Phil - thanks - what makes you think it's a later chassis? Pedal box looks post '92 Caterham chassis to me.
  12. Mikey Just a thought, your engine is fully assembled..there will be metal from the original grinding inside waiting to cause havoc....unless you are planning to rebuild? Malcolm
  13. Simon The championship entry form wont submit without a T shirt size but I can't see a field for it.. Malcolm
  14. Fantastic customer service from Karl, especially as this was aftermarket support for a secondhand unit.
  15. I think the cylinder head bolts pass down this channel plus return oil from cylinder head. Not sure if this damage will affect the structural integrity of the K series head/cylinder block bolt system I expect someone with more knowlege will be along soon
  16. Alex The GL5 wont show up a problem until the synchro rings fail. My BGH gearbox lasted half a seaon of sprinting / hillclimbing with GL5 and the first to fail was second gear (most used). Given you are going racing, I would recommend changing the oil. Malcolm
  17. Quoting Mark Durrant: The recommended gearbox oil is a 70W80 GL4. Do not use GL5. Done the GL5 oil in error. Baulk rings didnt last long
  18. *thumbup*Stu *thumbup*Dave I'll email you for some Malcolm
  19. Thanks Stu. They look like the correct ones but I'll check the measurements
  20. Thanks everyone - Doh! Had I looked at the diameter I could have saved trouble 😳 David the Khumos are smaller (I think 1647mm )
  21. Far too cold to go outside and measure a tyre 😳Tried a quick search, what is the circumference of the 215 55 13? Edited by - englishmaninwales on 15 Jan 2012 10:33:33
