  1. Had this conversation with Bruce and Phil at Arch yesterday, and the join can be where ever you want forward from the point in Mav's post. I reskinned the whole car previously and the chassis corrosion was mild, but the car (1994) has never been used in winter salt.
  2. The felt seals are not a problem if installed correctly and they do work and last well. However as I trashed the hubs and front suspension at Anglesey last Sunday maybe I'll upgrade to the latest hub/stub axle/seal assembly. Edited by - Englishmaninwales on 11 Oct 2012 17:02:44
  3. Quoting Z3MCJez: Incidentally, replacing front bearings without replacing front hubs is folly. It's the hubs that wear (being made of aluminium) more than the bearings, assuming that the bearings have been properly greased. Jez Sounds like you must have spent loads of money unnecessarily 😳 Old fashioned centre punch? Bearing lock?
  4. A huge thank you to you all for getting my car onto the trailer after my ''off'' this afternoon, and all of the messages of concern. I understand form Judith it took lots of pairs of hands and much manoeuvering to get it in. Cause of the off was over enthusiastic use of the right foot on the exit of the last hairpin and running out of skill The video is not pleasant No bones broken, but a very sore neck, shoulders and chest, but a glass (or two) of wine is making it distinctly better. Judith says thank you too for all the support and hugs which makes all the difference Congratulations to all the class winners, and to Stuart for the Championship, a fine demonstration of driving indeed . See you all at the awards
  5. Just to confuse the issue, I am entered in class 5 not 4 as per the latest list. (Simon was unaware of this when he sent the updated list in). I'll sort this with the organisers on the day.
  6. here Alan You will note it is for winners only. Edited by - Englishmaninwales on 1 Oct 2012 23:54:38
