  1. Hi Mankee I think, looking at the photo and judging by the diameter, it is a 'red' bar? Prehaps Mark would confirm? Malcolm
  2. If the ARB is for wide track I'll take it. YHM Thanks Edited by - Englishmaninwales on 12 Oct 2013 18:58:37
  3. Quoting Alan Bowler: Congratulations on your class and championship win Matthew. A dominant performance all year. 😶‍🌫️ (Now, please, can you and Andrew b*gg*r off back to class 3 for next year, and leave us alone. My trophy cabinet is empty, my family have disowned me, and my car is still full of grass. Your work in class 2 is done. ) Alan I have a Curbs August 2012 trophy that is really yours, you could have it on loan for a while to fill your cabinet Well done Matthew on the class an championship
  4. I would, but car still unfinished ☹️
  5. Pair of supersport cams to suit EU2 (with rotor arm spigot in the end of the inlet cam). Thanks
  6. Quoting Jon Ward: And lastly 😶‍🌫️ to Jeff for a great day’s competition and what I *think* is the overall class win Jon ....and I know what happened last time Mr Ward said this sort of thing 😔
  7. Martyn QED sell them: 106080 Spigot needle roller bearing 506083 Spigot bearing bush Malcolm
  8. Mechanical drive speedometer. Which driven gear do I need for 3.9 diff ratio plus 13" wheels with Avon ZZRs?Typically, I have 3 gear wheels all with 24 teeth. With some luck this might be the closest !
  9. Reseats the stud. I had the same fitting new (longer) studs.
  10. Jon I spent literally months trying to flog my spare set of MBs just perfect for a set of those ZZRs in A24 for class 3. Eventually went to a local Westie owner. Where were you????? I have a pair of slightly bent outer rims that I will bring along to Curbs on Sunday (provided of course you managed to get an entry 😳) Malcolm
  11. Quoting Stuart Miller 7: Shame that this may ruin an otherwise good run....... My feeling is that if there is a penalty then there should be more than one cone - perhaps 2 or 3 leading up to the apex cone (like the harewood clapper boards for example). This way you could actually see the corner on approach. For me, an instinctive avoidance (knowing there's a penalty) at that speed and on the edge of control, may result in a fairly big off. Just my tuppence....... I can't speak for others but hitting the cone is not deliberate - carbon is expensive! You can cut every other corner (and not just at Curborough) so what's the big deal here? I'm with Stuart on this, what is the logic given that other venues such as Loton and Harewood, don't incur a penalty? Replace the cones with flapper boards and then the meeting does not get held up to replace the cone.
  12. Thanks SM25T. I should have indicated for S3 as SV I think will be too wide. Malcolm Edited by - Englishmaninwales on 16 Aug 2013 12:09:52
  13. As title please. Standard CC, not the adjustable type. Malcolm Edited by - englishmaninwales on 16 Aug 2013 12:09:14
  14. Ok I've stepped back into history, moved away from Emeralds, 3D mapping, TBs, and fuel injection to a glorious sounding twincam in my Lotus Elan. BUT I need some help from the dark side from those of you with oily crossflows and prehaps even the odd twincam powered 7. Can I use standard unleaded? Do I need some additives? The engine was rebuilt less than 5k miles ago but in 1991. There is no way I can tell if the valve seats were changed (or indeed if they even needed to be changed for unleaded). I can check the static timing ( I forgotton about things like the timing light buried in my garage store!) - any idea what the static timing should be for unleaded? Should I use expensive Shell unleaded?
  15. Allen I'll fit the inlet / plenum and measure up Thanks
  16. I'm looking for a forward support leg for the 1400 k supersport plenum/inlet manifold. Thanks
  17. Back cover - best closed with anaerobic or RTV silicone type flange sealant? Vent tube - Inserted dry or with sealant? Thanks Malcolm
