  1. Yes I took delivery of mine a couple of weeks ago. It's just a pity about CC's retail price and Titan's policy, especially as I know the price Titan were originally talking about to supply us with the first batch of 25 sumps. But, at the end of the day, they both need to keep in business and have bigger fish to fry between themselves. Malcolm
  2. Andy I never bothered to fit the clutch arm stop plate and it works and adjusts fine. However it probably is there to stop the clutch arm from bending, but mine has been on the car for 10 years and another car before mine..... Malcolm
  3. My de dion failure made for some interesting handling....... /sites/default/files/images/users/5928/IMG_1657%20-%20Copy.JPG
  4. Ask Paul Collins how close he came to not scoring any points when he was the only class entry at Llys y Fran
  5. Luckily as I have very little hair I don't need a hair dryer. I put a layer of polish on first and stick the numbers on the un-buffed area. They then pull off easily leaving the paint intact.
  6. Hi Oli Thanks - I'll take your 6s off you. (Please make sure I don't get any of your 9, though ) Malcolm
  7. The early TB stepper motor type, fitted to the 1.4 SS with a forward facing metal plenum, has a throat diameter of 56 mm. I'm not aware of a plastic forward facing plenum.
  8. Scrutineers were paying very close attention to ROPS this weekend at Loton. There were some high profile casualties who could not compete as either no sticker or couldn't demonstrate compliance....
  9. Thank God that you are getting your fan fixed,Jeff. I'm not sure I could spend another season sitting in the sprint queue with you behind me with your fan running non stop. Mind you it'll be useful to know as mine has gone AWOL too! Malcolm
  10. I'd just cut the longer bolt, then at least you know the Nyloc is fully engaged as per its design, rather than taking a chance on 'that'll be OK won't it?'
  11. Yes, but looks like my Momo s/wheel is 280mm...you're welcome to it if you want. The pad is 133mm north to South and 154 east to west.
  12. I think I have one lurking in deep storage! I take a look over the weekend and let you know. Malcolm
  13. Jeff, don't forget to get your tread cutter out too, otherwise we might notice!
  14. ZZS's arrived today. Pretty rock hard but nothing my old tin of Grip Tyre softener can't deal with.
  15. Damn, out of stock of Michelins, so it'll have to be ZZS's
  16. Phil How about you and I agree to Michelin Pilots? I 'll be ordering mine tomorrow, so why don't you do the same? Malcolm
  17. I'm chasing a rough running problem on this car. The loom/sensors are Ford Focus. But I need confirmation that the TPS on the CC branded throttle bodies http://www.caterhamparts.co.uk/product.php?id_product=4056 is also the same source. A search on eBAY the TPS looks outwardly the same as that on the Focus petrol engine range, but can anyone please confirm? Thanks Malcolm
  18. Oli you were indeed lucky.....Best thing that happened to Caged was that Dave left......He lost my cage order 3 times over 4 months.
  19. I could only get an Arch certified modification to the shoulder harness positions by being there in the car with the HANS device/Helmet on whilst the new positions were located. This gave the correct angles for the straps in side to side position and vertical plane. But I don't think a certified mounting is an MSA requirement. Malcolm
  20. If you haven't already, contact Dawn Chapman, Operations manager at Caged. dawn@cagedlaser.com Malcolm
  21. Hi Rob Oops! Read my first post Thanks anyway for posting. cheers Malcolm
  22. No sorry Tom. The later tensioner I'm referring to was a Rover item, so might be worth hunting around to find out what car it came off, or better still take it off and look at the identification number on the bearing.
  23. Roger Why on earth did you not cancel the MOT until March when it its not *issing with rain and cold? Malcolm
  24. Tom Tom to clarify, I'm referring to the automatic tensioner associated with the gold pump - I think the purple pump (I recall yours is a purple pump) has a manual tensioner - may or may not be different.
