  1. Early (1965) Ford open differential with a 3.9 ratio (crown 39 pinion 10) recently removed from my Lotus Elan S3 and in full working order. This will suit a Lotus 7 S3/S4 with with a Ford live axle, possibly also a very early Caterham 7. Also fits a wide range of other cars including Cortina, Anglia, Escort, Capri etc. No unusual noises, clonks, whine or oil leak from nose seal. Unknown mileage, but has covered 8k trouble free miles in my ownership over last 3 years. Removed in March only to replace with a longer ratio, for more relaxed cruise rpm. Please note this is for the diff only and does not include Ford axle casing or Elan diff carrier. I can supply a choice of two diff flanges to suit your prop-shaft. £150 ono. I am located in North Wales and price does not include carriage. Collection welcome or purchaser will need to arrange a courier. I can help with delivery for Manchester or West Midlands. 2. Both little used and in excellent condition. £50. Collection from LL16 or I can deliver to Speed Championship venues or by GONADS.
  3. Appropriate sized expanding metal wall fixing, with a slide hammer, apparently works for the needle roller type, but I've never tried it. The grease method works well on oilite bronze bearings in older Ford crankshafts.
  4. Or listed at Eliseparts.com for £33.95 + vat and p+p
  5. For k series dry sump, Gates GAT3PK775 auxiliary drive belt from any motor factor.
  6. Phil I have got one or two rotor arm spigots in my spares, I ll take a look. Malcolm
  7. The LHS one was the same shape as the lorry tyres in the tyre wall at Anglesey.......
  8. +1, I found the flange on mine that required grinding flat.
  9. I suspect this Comma oil is the same as the Halfords brand MS 5W50, now no longer available. I've used this for years and it's fine.
  10. Thanks for all your responses, I now have a box of spares. Malcolm
  11. May be a TPS problem. The early K series TPS associated with the stepper motor TB wear out the internal electrical connections. They are very difficult to obtain but I was informed that Redline have them at £80 I was lucky to pick up a complete TB with a TPS on eBay.
  12. I'm looking for the following to suit a Mini DVR III recorder, maybe some of you have upgraded to more fancy recorders. Bullet cam and wiring harness. 12v power adapter. KB 02 Li-ion 3.7v 1400mAh battery pack. I think water/condensation has got into the connectors and the wiring has corroded. Serves me right for leaving it all in the car last winter. DogCam are no longer in business for these spares. Thanks Malcolm

  14. I'm willing to split my new triple and the double to give you five singles. Collection only.
  15. Yeah, I've got a triple, that's why I'm selling the double
  16. As title, new unused £35 plus postage
  17. Tom Dan might be interested in your plenum and inlet tract casting (see above) - the 2 supports also, as the inlet tract casting cracks, as he has found, without them. Been there done that one. Mark Ive been on a diet..... Phillip There isn't a two finger emoticon. Tough luck, you just need to be faster. Malcolm
  18. Chris I don't think it was ever discussed on BC. There have only ever been two competitors (myself and Dan) who used this arrangement (and for several years only me as Dan went off racing). I raised the issue with Mark at the time and the opinion was as above. Malcolm
  19. Chris "What can't be used is a plenum from either a different engine size / type, an otherwise modified plenum or one from a non caterham" This implies that the larger plenum and 56mmTB as fitted to the early 1400 k Supersport that Dan refers, cannot be fitted to a 1600/1800k.....this is the arrangement I have used for the last 11 years. This has been discussed previously (I think when Mark was CS) and considered allowable as there is marginal/nil performance gain and is a significant weight penalty over the standard plastic plenum. Malcolm Edited to add: there are significant difficulties with respect to the ECU, stepper motor idle control and engine loom to be overcome to fit the standard later plastic or metal plenum / TBs to early re-engined K series cars.
  20. There are overhaul kits available for the AC pump, have a look on eBay. Pick one that includes a seal for the diaphragm push rod ( not all do). The valves are held in with a tang, it is possible to get them out to replace. Malcolm
